It's actually really cool that we get to what happened in Session 0. All Monty really gave us in Episode 1 was "Our heroes completed a task and Borky tried (and failed) to eat a magic cabbage"

This was the second D&D campaign I ever got into. I found The Unexpectables through the natural wonders. I had never considered playing dungeons and dragons before getting into this campaign but I found the premise very exciting. Not too long after I began watching this series, a group of some of my oldest friends got together and formed a D&D group. We have been playing for the last eight years. Speed running the first 83 episodes to catch up with the live show was also a new experience for me.

I never knew how fast 9 minutes were. Connor this is utterly outstanding, it goes by quick but I can tell it took an insane amount of work to put together, scripting, directing, animation, and the amazing voice over, this is an amazing amount of work and this is just the beginning. I really like this way of retelling the story of the Unexpectables! I've been going through the series again, listening to it while playing certain games or while doing chores. this is gonna be fun. the shifting portraits have a very Fire Emblem-like charm to them, and the different art styles all still fit together without being too uncanny. and i dig the slightly more in-depth recount of events, MontyGlu’s script hits a very fine line of enthralling and informative without feeling overwhelming in scope or too rushed to get a clear grasp. very much a refinement of the Podcast’s prologue episode. DistortionDevil has a very warm voice for narration, and i genuinely believe he doesn’t get enough work in other voice acting avenues. though specifically as an Unexpectables fan, i wonder if the entire cast will rotate narrating duties?
