These are fantastic, especially if you have a subwoofer and can run analog crossover. With crossover, the speakers melt away and you hear and place whatever sound is coming out of these. Fantastic work, Adam Audio. Highly, highly recommend pairing these with a subwoofer and having crossover capabilities. Literally was sold on these as soon as I saw they existed, and at this price?! Adam Audio's reputation is impeccable, I'm just grateful us desktop users are worth your time!

The evolution in speaker technology never cease to amazes me... just a few years ago I worked with Totem Acoustic, a more classic hi-fi brand. Passive radiators and a ribbon twitter, plus bi-amplification of a total of 120 watts per speaker and DSP... in this size and price point this is completely absurd to me! I don't people have any idea how ridiculous this is for 400 CAD.
@rhizomorph-music3 ай бұрын
Is that 400 per speaker, or for the set of 2? If it's per speaker, it's still way too expensive for the average consumer. That's an audiophile price.
@Silent_Stillness3 ай бұрын
@@rhizomorph-music Honestly if the quality is there, it absolutely isn't "way too expensive", remember that we're in a post inflation spike state. 400$ for a single monitor would definitely NOT be in the audiophile range. Even then, I just checked and the pricing is for the pair. Already just based on the price, things don't add up because the price is just simply too low for the product to have a reasonable chance to compete with the "serious speakers" that are out there. 3.5" Woofers seems excessively small to me. I sincerely hope I'm wrong and these puppies are complete game changers, but that would be statistically highly unlikely again considering the low price.
@ADAMAudioBerlin3 ай бұрын

I have these monitors in white, and I am really satisfied with them. They are ideal if space is a problem. I like to use them on microphone standards. The sound image is very clear and detailed and I love to work with them. The lows are surprisingly good for such small monitors. If I would have some critique it would be about the very sort 20 minutes before the monitors go in stand-by. If I go off to make a cup of coffee and go through some mail the monitors are turned off when I start working again. That can be annoying at times. Other than that they are great monitors that I can fully recommend, especially for those that have limited space.

Hello adam, I am a D3V speaker user from China, I have a little trick to solve the problem of tweeter not working at low volume (my English level is terrible, this is the English translation with a translator) Trigger condition for the tweeter not working: as long as the speaker is currently playing a sound with a low volume in the high frequencies, the tweeter hardly works! Solution: Play a high-frequency sine wave of around 21khz at the right volume in the background to keep the tweeter working. Note: this high-frequency sine wave can not turn up the sound, as long as the volume can be opened to allow the tweeter to continue to work, otherwise it will be the speaker to get the sound or let the sound played by the distortion or popping situation

Hi @TH-lo8mq! Thanks for your question! They come with the smaller, detachable stands but they are mountable to any standard microphone stand! Best, Jasper

Hi ADAM Audio, I just have a quick question. I love the sound of my D3V speakers, but I'm having some high frequency clarity issues at low volumes. It sounds like the tweeters are disabled past a certain threshold. Are you guys aware of this, and is there any way that could be fixed with a firmware update? Thank you.
@ADAMAudioBerlinАй бұрын
Hi Thursday, thank you for reaching out. Yes, we are aware of the issue, and we will address this, as well as a longer standby time and the option to deactivate auto standby, with a firmware update in the new year. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or additional feedback on the D3Vs. Thanks for choosing ADAM Audio and all the best from Berlin, Daniel.

My PC speakers are aging and I'm looling to replace them. Could I connect my DAP to the DV3 by either USB-C or 4.4mm jacks with no PC connection? The speakers could then be portable to play in other rooms just using the DAP.

Hi @richardbutler5504! Yes that's possible!

Do you think these would have enough connectivity and low end for music production and DJ’ing to replace a pair of KRK Rokit 5s (G4)? I have a small room, not really sound treated.

Jez that sounds awesome! I just bought (last year) a pair of A5X + Sub 7 and actually have minimum space. So maybe I just sell them and try the D3V 🤔

These look great but your missing a trick slightly. Will there eventually be a dedicated sub offered at another point for these? I know you do great work but you cant outsmart physics and you still want a bigger speaker for Bass Frequencies. So will their be a D3V Sub or would your recommend one of the current subs you sell?

I don't think there would be a sub and I also don't think you realize the impact of passive radiator on bass extension. Those are tiny speakers for tiny rooms. It doesn't really make sense to use them if you have a sub. They're not made for that.
@saardean44813 ай бұрын
@@jas_bataille most speakers are not really „made for a sub“. Almost every speaker can profit by adding a sub. 30 years ago i remember the audiophiles complaining about subs but thank God this way of thinking is long gone and Subs have proven their worth and are here to stay. You win upper bass and midrange reserves on the Satellites as their woofer is less stressed if you keep the lower bass away from them . Also you don`t need a manufacturer to provide you a matching subwoofer. This also is not rocket science. You can find one that matches any speaker if you look in this vast market that exists today. A passive radiator is simply the expensive and better brother of Bass reflex. It does not have any kind of „impact“ on low end, it simply works better than reflex ports most times. Its not rocket science.That said If you want low bass from a driver the more bass you achieve the less spl you gain. Its always a give and take. A passive radiator will not give you more spl than a normal port, you can simply sometimes easier tune it deeper than fitting a long reflex port in a speaker but thats another discussion. My two cents

I don't like monitors that need connection between them, so still going for the T7V. Just wish those had the threads for stands too. Way more option for placement.
@ADAMAudioBerlin3 ай бұрын
Hi @annebokma4637, the D3Vs are mountable to standard microphone stands, which makes them very flexible in mounting :) The connection between the two speakers allows to control both speakers at once via the frontside knob of the active speaker.
@annebokma46373 ай бұрын
@@ADAMAudioBerlin I know, but I still prefer your T7V. Just wish those had that same mounting option. The A7V can be mounted easier. But those aren't in my budget ... Yet 😁 If the connection is just for the controls, why not over rj45 or even better, wireless? If both speakers house their own amps that should work. Now that I have your attention, are you looking into giving the A7V network port Dante functionality? That would be awesome
