Even worse is the Belkin Qi2 5K MagSafe Powerbank from Apple…The price in Austria is 65€ (as Flossy would say: TGH) Same case as this Anker Powerbank: It doesn‘t support Qi2. On the packaging the logo oQi2 is on it but it still charges only up to 7,5 Watts…I don‘t understand this, why they‘re doing this. Thanks for the vid! Appreciate! Greetings from Austria 🇦🇹😊

I've been using a 5,000mah power bank from MyCharge that charges at 5W I'm taking a cruise this summer and for that journey, I plan to upgrade to the Anker MagGo Slim 10K. Twice the capacity and Qi2 standard

I should’ve watch this video before buying one ☹️ I have totally the same problem on my iPhone 16, seems it only works 1-2mins as qi2 and then always works as “slow charger” with extra heating. Even when I tried it in a very cool place, it charged sloooooowly.

I think the qi2 wireless activate during pass through charging only. Kinda just like apple magsafe battery pack which can only reach 15w with pass through charging.

Did you charge with it plugged in to the wall? I think it only charges at full speed when the pack is plugged into the usb-c charger. I personally prefer the slower charging speeds because it’s usually optimized for longevity. Higher charging speeds usually result in the battery dying faster.

I wonder if it’s possible to charge with the cable but still keep it magnetically attached to the back of the phone. I like having the charger stuck to the back of the phone, but I also like the speed of the hardline charger.

I do plug to charge my Anker 10K Slim with a short USB C cable and later attach it via MagSafe. That way the power bank doesn’t heat up the phone and I get a quicker 100% charged duration as well. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the heads up Tee, for myself i took your advice and got me the nano and i swear by it it lives with me comes with me everywhere and my phone loves it and doesnt over heat 😊 NYD i saw my middle daughter was not on her 13 Pro and we were out for the day and everyone in the house we were in uses Samsung phones so she felt a little left out 😂 I says to her hey Chick whats up she says mum my phone is dead and no one here has a lightening port 😂. Here i go i flip out my nano and her 13 pro went from dead to 84 in 35 minutes and she was dancing again 😂 PLUS it still had 2 light on the nano. Can you do passthrough charging with it? I'd try plugging the pack in and seeing if you get the same message. Anker is very good about going through the WPC for Qi certification so it's most likely just aggressively thermally throttling cause it's so slim and cannot dissipate heat. A ripoff tho and I love that you gave it anti shout out by NOT linking an affiliate link lmao.

Actually qi 2 does not necessarily mean fast charging . You must not have read the info on it. It is 15 watts. That is not really fast charging. Apple is comparing it to the average wireless charging speeds which is 5-7.5 watts of the most basic charger. So it is not a fast charger. Also a power bank is not a wireless charger. It is a power bank. If you notice it is not called a fast charger by Anker. Apple says fast charging for iPhone. So they don't really say it is a fast charger. Typical Apple. 😅
