The All-New Mercedes-Benz EQS 450+ - All Electric Sedan

Hopping on the Electric vehicle bandwagon Mercedes has brought us more letters in their alphabet soup. Mercedes EQ signifies their newest set of electric vehicles including the EQB Crossover, EQE sedan bassd on the E-Class, and what we’re driving here, the EQS based on the S-Class.

I love my EQS 450+. I have seen few videos that show you can open the rear hatch by simply waving your foot under the rear bumper. That came in very handy when I had a set of golf clubs in my hand. Almost any feature available on the car can be activated by voice command. You simply say "Hey Mercedes" and make your request. The car comes with numerous features that are not available with Tesla including a sunroof that actually opens and has a motorized shade, Apple CarPlay and SiriusXM radio. The interior lighting is impressive also. While the EPA rates the car at 350 miles, I have been getting over 400 miles with an 80% charge. The charges have been free at Electrify America.

You can no longer get the hyper screen on the 450, only on the more expensive 580. Very deceptive of MB, they need to update their press cars to reflect the change.

Nice video ! Very detailed! Question: does the suspension differ between the 450 and 580? I imagine it would since the HP goes from approx 330 to 520? I couldn’t find the answer..

Also do you think the approx $25k jump is worth it to go from 450 to 580 if only driving local and the hyperscreen is not a must ? Although it is pretty basic without it. Weighing out the two..
