Bright green p1 just arrived. Basically pre-assembled. Looks amazing and is sturdy AF. It costs a few extra dollars but nothing like Playseat. I don’t expect I’ll ever need another sim rig. Money well spent.

Thank you so much for the review! I just ordered the same color as yours. A thousand thanks for the coupon code! With the discount, it becomes a great deal for people in Canada since there is no import fees and the shipping is very cheap considering the size and weight. Can't wait to dive into the world of simracing.

Gorgeous! Can I ask what caster wheels you have installed on this rig? I'd like to use ones like those that go straight down as opposed to out, so they can pass through a bedroom doorway.

I really like the Rseat products. I was on the fence between Rseat and Simlab, I think the reason I chose to not go Rseat is because of the cost of attachments. For the Rseat keyboard tray, buttkicker mount and shifter mount was like $600 and at the time I needed all 3. In the end I went SimLab because I wanted to be able to expand and adapt as time goes on. I designed my dual shifter mounts myself and got all the attachment accessories and profile plus a buttkicker mount for under $170.

Have you gotten the sim lab inverted pedal deck? I missed the inverted pedals from my first diy ricmotech rs1 build so I picked one up when sim lab released them and I love it. Much more natural feeling pedal position.

Did you ever test out the compatibility of the pedal plate? It is advertised to be compatible with hole pattern on heusinkveld sprint pedals, however the holes don’t like up. Sometimes only by a few mm, but it’s enough not to be able to get 4 bolts through. Not sure if this is a design problem, or a manufacturing quality one. Anyway, working with customer support right now to try and resolve this, but it has been two weeks with no resolution. Curious if you or others have tried to attach pedals using the pre-drilled holes and what you’ve found.

thanx for the review . i'm finally able to get a rig....ya this one looks to be the "easiest" to set up,,,pretty good price point...this one is now def on my list..(.if i go with it i will use your link.).. i just got CLS dd..and got a new MOZA that's like the CLS...going with the new Asetek pedals...man it's good to be a sim racer these day's..there are so many legit choices and pricing is competitive ....cheers mate oh how is that seat for long sessions...i do 4-5 hrs at time..i know you sorta hit that point..but would i need an extra cushion or ? that's my biggest concearn with all of my choices..

I wanted one of these but all the accessories are $200 each and I wanted the keyboard tray, button box mounts and the shifter mount. That puts this rig (without the seat) over $1500. I bought the old S1 instead with all the accessories for under $1200. One thing about Rseat is their shipping rates are VERY reasonable compared to even American companies. Track Racer was charging upwards of $160 for their rigs to be shipped, while Rseat was $58 from Bulgaria. That's about $100 worth of accessories you can buy. I know the S1 isn't as strong as the new P1 but I only have a CSL DD from Fanatec. I don't want or need anything more than that. Plus I like the looks of the old S1 as well.

I'm not a fan of the price and cost of the attachments. However,, considering the Sparco seats they're offering are almost 3/4 the price of the bundle compared to buying it separately, this is a decent option.

I'm new to sim racing and looking for my first rig. Was going to go with a traditional 8020 profile rig, but they're not that exciting. And yes, aesthetics is important to me, as I'll most likely have this rig in my office. Love that Rseat offers some cool colors. Rseat just has so many models so it's hard to discern which one to choose (b1, p1, n1, s1, etc. lol). I'll have a DD, either Simagic or a DD1. - do you plan to review the new B1 chassis?
@Fleshless19913 жыл бұрын
Hey there, really nice review. Was hoping you could help me. Would you guess that someone very tall (2,08m/6ft10) could fit in one of those rseat rigs or is 8020 my only option?

Anyone using this chassis with the heusinkveld ultimate+, the monitor mount and who is ~1m90? The space between the monitor mount / legs and height of the pedals seems a little short.
@Owennerd2 жыл бұрын
I can't even make this god-forsaken chassis work with my Fanatec Clubsports, which have even more clearance than your Heusinkveld Ultimates would. The monitor mount and wheel mount are simply TOO LOW for anyone who's not 5'6". I'm 6'2" and my legs are fairly long, and I genuinely cannot get my left leg to clear the wheel mount in ANY configuration of seat and pedal tray forward/back. Beyond dissapointed after spending $2,000. I knew, I just KNEW I should have went with an extruded metal rig that I could modify with much greater ease.

Strange that Accuforce V2 isn't listed as a compatible. It's a pretty common wheel.
@budthecyborg45753 жыл бұрын
Now that you mention the helmet retainers on the headrest, that gets me thinking, is this seat actually compatible with a real racing HANS device? For someone who wants the absolute highest level of immersion you would want the crash rated helmet and neck restraint, and that compatibility could make this more viable as a professional practice system.

did i hear you say the wheel mount deck is NOT INCLUDED!! that would be a nickel and dime issue that would be a deal killer if you did not mean what you said I would clean that up,, also i have an S1 that was a total mess concerning the wheel deck ,i had to make a shim of almost 1/2 inch thick to level my Fanatec CSL Elite box just terrible quality.i did a full video on that process it sucked and RSeat customer service was no help at all not as bad as Fanatec but bad enough. of course, reboxing and shipping your unit back is a giant pain in the butt so most people I'm sure would do what I did which is just fix it. I'll never buy another RSeat product. i should say i also have an N1 chassis and it was in good shape but its too dam heavy for practical use . i use furniture sliders on my laminate floor to slide it into place and return it to the side of my room because its a very large unit I watched your review of the N1 and that one convinced me to buy it and I haven't been sorry about that but the S1 unit was garbage. Our seats only response was to box it up and send it back, which was ridiculous. you know how they packed that stuff, they do a great job at it but putting it back in the way they had it impossible thanks for another view, but I'll never be going back to RSeat

If i’m honest, the video feels more like a ad than a product review.. the “fantastic looks” are extremely subjective, also calling bs on the ‘build in 15min’…it just isn’t, and that’s okay too.. A real racing seat is (imo) very unnecessary and just adds to the price, a real racing seat is extremely over engineered for what it’s used for in a simrig. I’d personally prefer a profile based rig as it’ll have pretty much infinite adjustability and expansion options.
@greatscot043 жыл бұрын
All of Shaun's tend to be more positive. A product would have to be terrible for Shaun to crap on it. As for build time, if you've built as many chassis as he has, you may be able to do it that fast too. It would probably take me a couple hours.
@kontoname3 жыл бұрын
No, it's not subjective. Good design can be measured, even aside from subjective taste. Proportions, rule of thirds, sweep angles etc. And who even needs infinite adjustability? I don't know anyone that A) needs it and B) can even do it, even with profiles! That said if you're a fan of ugly DIY looking profile rigs with dust gathering in the easily scratched, since not even powdercoated, profile rails, fine. I wouldn't class such poor attempts with professional products though. It's more for hobbyists who like for everyone to giggle at their nerdy basement rooms instead of a streamlined solution you could even put in a modern living room and slide it to the side on caster wheels. If you can make those crappy extrusion profile rigs look fantastic, great. I've never seen a fantastic looking one. Ever. The best attempt was cables tied to the profiles with cable ties or velcro...

Agghhh, I went Tr8 by track racer for about half the cost and very happy. These are nice, but way over priced. Also am not seeing anything new here, they always had colors. Only big difference is you can order it with a Sparco seat. As for wheel mounting, keep in mind if you have a DD1/2, you will be limited to angle adjustment just like on the TR8 because of how long the unit is and interfering with the steel tubing of the chassis itself. Profile rigs or some less expensive than this is more ideal. IMO
