Mahalo for the detailed reviews with candid dislikes and likes. I use an Aer TP3 small (28L) which is an awesome bag although a little too large and heavy to use as an EDC at the travel destination (I’m an old guy and my kids are older so no need to carry their stuff). I’m looking for a 20ish to 26L size to double as a travel pack and EDC (not for single bag travel since I usually also check in a suitcase). I liked the TB synic because of the organization and structure (the synapse doesn’t have internal structure). The 26 synic is currently out of stock so I was looking at the Bellroy you recently reviewed because I also like their Venture Sling. You brought up good points regarding “dislikes” so I’ll probably wait for the restock of TB with x-PAC. Newly subscribed and catching up on your other videos. Great channel and strong work!

Thank you! Also check out the Osprey Parsec (26L), and the new Yeti Bozeman! My Yeti hasn't arrived yet... shipping delays... but once that comes I'll do a review on that soon!

4:20 Some Quick Release Buckles for the shoulder straps would be nice to pack those inside the luggage pass-through

Would you be able to share your exact model of Macbook? Looking to use a 15" Thinkpad with this bag, but I'd like to compare my laptop's dimensions to whatever you have, so I know what to expect in terms of sleeve fit. EDIT: Follow-up. My Thinkpad 15" X1 Extreme did not fit. Returned the bag.

The zippers aren't noisy. It's the metal zipper pulls that are noisy, which you can easily quiet by adding the non metal pulls TB provides for their bags, or adding your own pulls. Personally I like the jangly zipper pulls for the added theft deterrent when I'm wearing my bag (Synapse 25). As for the small pocket, I keep my receipts in that space when I travel and the water bottle I use (smaller than the giant water bottle you have) doesn't impede at all.

I think they should have those quiet pulls attached already

Does add cost and also people like to personalize alps the jangly nwothnzippers really seems a percent issue with people.

even when i add the zipper pulls (which i did to the other bags they sent me), it still makes noise. But for some reason, this bag didn't include them! Maybe they forgot...

The noisy jingle won't deter theft, as when it's in their hand it won't jingle. For a $350+ bag after tax and shipping it's definitely below industry standard in this regard, most come with quieting cord.

@@JonCrossAt this price this isn't an excuse. $100 American made bags do it just fine.

If you want to quiet the zippers, that's why Tom Bihn gives you a bunch of zipper pulls to attach

the last 2 bags tom bihn sent me, had those zipper pulls. this one didn't have them! But regardless of that, even with those zipper pulls on, they still make noise!
@FactFinderGeneral2 ай бұрын
The pulls I know of aren't quieting. You would need to use flat cordage like gutted paracord for that.

@@DesmondCheng I have two of the bags with pull attached. They are silent once attached properly

I’ll bet that smaller pocket wouldn’t be as tight with a smaller water bottle
