We stayed there in Feb 2017 and they were doing the renovations then.... Looks like they really stepped up their game, because our experience was pretty shoddy.

Aloha! I just booked this resort on Expedia for a weekend island hop from our home on Kauai to Oahu in November. Booking on Expedia didn't give me the option to add the breakfast buffet. Did you book your stay directly with the hotel?

Yes, I booked mine directly, but I don’t think it was listed on a lot of travel sites at the time.

do you think this hotel is good for families with children?...or not? we are a +50 couple with no kids and we really don't like big hotels with a lot of kids running around every where: pool, restaurants, lobby.....

There’s a separate playroom near the second pool where most kids stay. No kids for me either and I loved it

I highly recommend this hotel just 2 min walk to the beach ! You just cross the street and you are already there , the hotel is super clean and friendly stuff ! My floor was 39 and the view was stunning!!!!!!

I've been to this hotel 2 times, both with the old management (Pacific Beach Hotel) and with this new one... and both with 2 ex-girlfriends... I must admit that there really was a leap in quality! ...a big leap! Highly recommended especially for Europeans like me! PS. For those wondering... I don't think I'll go back with the current girl... nor with the one after (it's a bit complicated)!!! 🫤
