I think the Rougaroo deserved a few awards just because of the young lady, the creature's design, the backstory, and the actor who plays the father/monster? The dad loves his child but, at the same time he's a monster in more ways than one(I also wonder what happened to Gerty's mom? I can totally see him killing her because she wanted to take Gerty and leave, due to the dad not being able to keep his butt out of prison or maybe she knew he was a monster)although, Gerty loved her dad she knew nobody was safe around him in either form?

What I also find interesting about this story - Rougaroo sounds like "loup garou", the French for werewolf. It's not hard to imagine that people living in those circumstances had little to no proper education, which may easily lead to linguistic hybrids like that.

There's a movie on SHUDDER about this same lady, it's called "Kandisha" and it's pretty good! It's about how this teen girl gets beat up bad by her ex bf and she calls the spirit's name a few times but, after the ex is killed she goes around killing any man the girl knows?

I thought the "Changeling" had the strongest and most interesting folklore story line. The other four shorts didn't do much for me, especially the "Black Eyed Child". "Cloven" was by far the most weak.

A Changeling is usually an infant being replaced by a supernatural or nature being (we usually see fairies portrayed as Changelings). In this video, the mother was replaced. Nice switch up.

Normally the child is the changeling. The twist was the mom was this time. Normally there's a way to switch back places with the changeling. The baby was crying and upset all the time cause that wasn't their real mom till the end. Then it turned into thr fox and left. Hope that helps.

That last one, the fear the walk from car to door was so good, really emitted deep fear and if to walk or run and the stiffness fear can produce in our muscles to fught or flight... Thats how i feel all the time since early twenties. Its a rare condition that is drug resistant. Its a horrible, embarrassing, crippling, literally, disease. p larson. Ps. Its ending sucks.

The first one wasn't too bad, but a little too weird and incoherent for my taste. Liked the choice of the old lady in the 2nd one. The atmosphere was pretty nice as well, even though the music was a little too obnoxious. I would've liked the second film a lot more if it wouldn't ride on the Black Eyed Kids stories. Mostly because it literally had nothing to do with the source material, I feel like it could've been way creepier if it was actually close to the original stories of BEC standing at the door, trying to convince her to let them in. That's pretty much the point of what they are supposed to do. You could substitude the entity with basically any other paranormal being and get the same result. Third was very nicely done. Loved the Home Alone kinda theme in a broken household setting. The actor for the little girl did great. My favorite for sure. The fourth one was short, simple, but pretty well done. Fifth is kinda cliché and the cut after the door opening is a little weird, but it was great and the second best here for me.

A Friend of Mine believes that He saw a group of these " Black Eyed Children" . He was driving along the road late one night and passed three "Teenagers " walking along the roadside . When He drove by them , He saw that they had no discernable faces but had just "blank" faces . I always thought that these Entities He saw were some these "Black Eyed Children " but were not trying to look like children at this point ,so they had no features yet. Demons are real , I've seen at least one and by the Grace of Jesus Christ , I pray that I don't see another. Just as in Heaven there is a Hierarchy within the Angelic Beings , the same holds true for the Diabolical Beings. Black Eyed Children ,though of a lesser order of Demon , are still extraordinarily powerful in the art of deception and fear . These Demons use guile to make Themselves look like needy Children , only to later on after being aided or allowed into to home wreak spiritual havoc upon Their Victims . The easiest way to drive away Demons is to show Love as Christ Loves and to not attract Demons through the emotions of wrath , jealousy , pride ,or vanity . Jesus Christ ,the Victorious , drive hence from this World every Diabolical Entity and Evil Design ! Amen!

I really liked the "Cloven" film. It illustrated the sheer danger of being a kind person: you will pay for it, and pay a grim price. That seems to be a worldwide folktale topic, but in this case particularity well well managed in making the thing of evil an image of an injured but conventionally dressed woman. She was fragile, vulnerable, until you looked into her expressions and eyes and saw something amiss which the driver could not catch sight of. Then, the Quran, and all is too late for him.

Never ever an explanation of the shorts from ALTER! Always the same old thing. Just leave everything up in the air and let the viewers decide what it all means. Frankly, I'm getting tired of it. Thank you ALTER since all these movies are truly scary. Changeling - it is sad and scary not because it has a scary monster but has a scary atmosphere in the movie. It shows a bad ending transforming the true mother into the fox and the Changeling into the mother who devours the child (which is unknown in the end) Black Eyed Child - BEC is epic in horror and is really scary. The cinematography has an eerie sensation while the atmosphere in Black and white features shows how dark and scary the story is. It is unknown that the BEC was a symbolizing of death or Satan for his evil behavior. The Rougarou - The Rougarou is a great horror movie where the daughter sees her father as the true monster hidden under his soft persona and she uses her imagination on vigilantism to put an end to it, which is depicted in her picture: the bloody horned unicorn. Cloven - Cloven isn't scary but it's a good movie, where an unfortunate innocent person dies at the hands of the demon. It is quite similar to Ana Lily Amarpour's A girl walks home alone at night. Don't let it in - The monster of this movie is truly scary other than that there is not much of it.
