LEARN TO SPEAK ALGERIAN

3 жыл бұрын

A short video to speak about the berbers (Amazighs), they are the indigenous inhabitants of the North African since many centurie before the roman empire, and their culture and heritage still exists in Algeria, Morroco, Tunisia, Libya.
Rest in peace YANIS, you were a great guy !

I am a Moroccan of Riffian descent, but I can't fully identify myself as Arab or Amazigh, because I grew with many different cultures, which shaped and formed my identity. I don't feel Arab, Moroccan, Amazigh, German, Pakistani or Turkish, although I witnessed all of them. I can't identify myself to a specific nationality, because I'm a Third Culture Kid. If people ask me, then I just say Moroccan to avoid confusion. In the end, I'm just a human being. I like and support your approach, as identifying yourself as Algerian, because in the end both the Amazigh culture, the Arab culture and many other influences (Roman, Ottoman, Phoenician, etc..) formed your own individual national identity, which is similar in Morocco, Tunisia, etc.. These days, there is a growing appreciation and we can certainly be proud of it, whether or not someone does it identify himself/herself as an Arab.

Choukran Djamel! Very interesting! Never can understand why some people have to suppress other cultures and languages, instead to be happy and proud, to have this wealth of diversity. Hopefully the day will come when the honest respect for a person is higher, than the nationality, culture, religion or language.

Thank you sooo much for this video! Very interesting and informative, I loved it so much! I would be very interested about the Algerian wedding customs (I've heard about henna ceremony -?sorry if it's not correct-, and I've heard the bride wears multiple amazing dresses, and in general I'm curious about wedding celebrations; is there a big difference between arab and berber wedding customs?). Also in general Algerian fashion and traditional clothes (arab and berber as well) would be an interesting topic. As always, thank you for the amazing content and hard work you put into these videos. I love the channel!

Darja/Algerian language is also compromised with french most notably in Algiers and some other cities. Personally I probably will go to countrysides if I can when I go to Algeria mainly in the Aures region since I may have some ancestry in that region. Also Berber language may not be just one as there's Kabyle, Chaoui and Chenoui with differing dialects.

Islam started in the Arabian peninsula and prophet Muhammad himself said that his ancestors are from yemen and Ismail is the father of arabs who spoke fluent arabic, prophet Muhammad is a mix of second generation arabs and third generation arabs who's father is the prophet Ishmael, islam began in the Arabian peninsula, an arab who denies spread of Arabic through islam is a pathetic excuse of a human being, it's Islam that kept arabic alive not Arab nationalism, a person who denies his origin or lies about other people's origins is a disbeliever in islam, it's as if he denied his parents
