I created this video just to show both the fans and people in generally how great this man really is at kicking.I cant find one kick in this video that are done badly by him.The whole idea was to show Jackies kicks at its greatest and if i may say so myself.I have succeeded.Yuen Biao,Sammo and so on are amazing too but if they should perform does kicks they would look excactly the same cause the kicks Jackie does here are perfectly performed.There are no sides when you are this great.There are just pure,raw art.Peace and thanks for watching.

Jackie earned some bad reputations in Asia from the last few years with some anti-democracy remarks. He kisses Commie Chinese government's behind in order to access the Chinese film market. Bruce Lee's legend will still exist 100 or maybe 500 years from now. Jackie, not so much.

I personally think Jackie Chan's kicks are underrated. He's not known for his kicks but I think his kicks are the most smooth, graceful, yet powerful I have ever seen. But I think he's newer movies, the older Jackie has wires attached to him when he's doing complex kicks because how it looks uncanny, which is understandable because he's already old.

I enjoyed watching the video. Jackie Chan is my main favorite Martial Arts actor. Without him i wouldn/t have got involved in Martial Arts, I would never have got into HK flims based on discovering his flims. I feel he's underrated not just as an actor but as a Martial Artist too, He had alot of sick kicking techniques. The Tornado kick / foward sweep kick combo he did in Miracles, also that triple flying kick he did on Richard Norton in City Hunter which is dubbed the City Hunter kick. Jackie is boss!

Thank you so much.Your comment really moved me.The true fans that knowed him way before he got famous in america knows that he is one of the best martial artists ever and that he was the first one they handpicked in the 70s to be the next Bruce Lee cause he was the best and still is.It was his special skills in martial arts that made him famous in both hong kong and america.Not his stunts and comedy and the kicking combination in miracles is pure gold and the same goes with the City hunter kick and its thanks to Jackie i also got involved with martial arts and discovered hong kong action and such legends as sammo,yuen biao,jet li,donnie yen and so on.Your right.Jackie is the boss!peace out.

Thankyou for this compilation of Jackie's moves in HD. Jackie Chan is a hero of mine, so I've watched some of his Hong Kong movies. I read somewhere Jackie trained with a 10th Dan Grandmaster (who the Special Forces also respect as a trainer). Also, as a child, Jackie trained with Chinese Circus as an acrobat - His commitment to training, perfecting technique and discipline is the meaning of Kung Fu (as far as I understand it). This is why he is a hero of mine, a role-model and why I apply the principles of Kung Fu to non-violent activities in my own life.

Wasn't sure if this would be very good, but it was actually well done. Imo his collective body of work is the highest level of skill and fight choreography there is. The kicks are a big part of that. It's not just that he performs difficult and well-executed kicks, but the way he combos them together and uses them as finishing moves is really entertaining and provides a great climax to a fight. They're also fun to watch as a westerner because we are so used to seeing punching, and kicks pack a lot more power, giving a small guy like him the ability to beat someone larger. You're always waiting to see if he can get enough space to gather momentum for a game-changing kick. In general the Police Story, Project A, and Benny the Jet movies have the best action, but that probably leaves out about a dozen movies that also have top-notch fight scenes in his prime. The mall clip around 2:07 has always been one of my favorite sequences.

Jackie doesn't have the best or most acrobatic kicks, but he's got the most power in his kicks and the best jumping spinning heel kicks compared to the other Seven Fortunes. Yuen Biao's kicks never seemed that 'strong', more like acrobatic to me(with a few exceptions). Sammo rarely kicked as well. My favourite Jackie Chan kicks are the spinning hook to sweep kick in Police Story 1, the spinning crescent kick to sweep in Miracles, and the multiple jumping heel kicks of Project A.
@elvisjimpa1009 жыл бұрын
+Daxcheese555 Thak you i totally agree.Dont forget the jumping tripple kick he did in city hunter at 5:31 when fighting Richard Norton at the end.
@edwardtang19779 жыл бұрын
+Daxcheese555 also due to his height, many of the kicks he has to outreach , same with his punches. Which is harder to do. People say he has not perfect technique. But that is intentional and due to his rounded body. He fights modern fights that is different from traditional fights with good pose. He actually knows all and both! He does the nice ones in ancient settings, modern ones in modern. His weapon skills...Jackie Chan level.

@Orion Jimmy, any chance for you to list the movies where these parts are from? If possible, thank you.
Nice collection, reminds me of why I loved Jackie's movies back in the 80s & early 90s, but there are definitely some clips in there that are Jackie's doubles, not him, as well as some sped up (undercranked) bits, and some wirework (like in his fights with Brad Allen from Gorgeous).
@Texy885 жыл бұрын
The kicks from _Dragons Forever_ at 1:09 and 1:33 definitely are not Jackie. In the case of the former, an audio commentary on the Hong Kong Legends DVD release confirmed that on the day of shooting that kick his back was troubling him so someone else stepped in for that particular action, whilst for the latter he is actually doubled by Chin Kar-Lok (the brother of Chin Siu-Ho, who famously appeared in _Fist of Legend_ and _Mr Vampire_ amongst others). In some international versions the slow-motion version of the latter kick is often cut out, and that same audio commentary believed that this was because you could clearly see that it was not Jackie.

@Nathan C just how did you. Ome to the conclusion that Jackie Chan did not had the best technique? The term best technique is in itself is ambigois one. Be clear before you pass your judgement. Jackie Chan was trained in one of the most hardest ways. Even monks in shaolin temple are taught with compassion, but Jackie Chan was not so privilaged and it worked in his favor in the end. Whats best thing in one style is often a weak poitn in some other style. What do you mean by best technique?

Too rich and getting older and older. anyway. he is the best martial arts actor ever but Anyway dude...in terms of martial arts there are many who played with him in movies who are 100x better jacky knows this like everyone who knows martial arts. The gus who fought the final fight with him in drunken master or young master those guys are amongst the greatest masters in the wordl. Benny the jet is also one. Even his master has said jacky was not the best but the naughtiest . IHe was considered the most crazy and daring stuntman in hong kong ...he is great still love the dude, but i hoped he would take things seriously for a few years and make something decent. But as he himself has suggested and i understand ..he just doen't give a shit anymore. Busy with other things than movies which he enjoys more.
@digiart6228 жыл бұрын
BTW jacky studied styles which do not incorporate many high kicks ( most of southern styles) you wont believe it even i could kick much better than him. He has fucking nice stances and leg movement on the ground, which is typical of what those styles are all about. All martial artists in the 70' 80's first half of 90's were fan of jacky and watched everything. Just about the only dude you could take seriously. @elvisjimpa1009 жыл бұрын
How can you say that after watching this video?
@almo89899 жыл бұрын
Orion Jimmy You can compare him to somebody like Yuen Biao. A prime example of this was in Young Master when they were both fighting each other with the bench. Biao is clearly better at almost everything from shapes to punches and kicks. That was never Jackie's strengths, but Jackie was always able to put together a very fluid fight scene and knew how to edit them properly. The way he sells his moves is what I think he is great at.
@elvisjimpa1009 жыл бұрын
Nathan C Yuen Biao,Jackie Chan and Sammo Hung are from the same peking opera school and has the nickname the 3 dragons.Noone of them got does names cause they where fake fighting on film.They got it because they was the best fighters and martial artists at that time and still is.Jackie once beated up a motorcycle gang and got a tooth stuck in his fist so i am sorry to say this but i dont agree with you.Yuen Biao is amazing by the way.Sammo too.They all can do echothers moves.because they where trained by the same master so they are egual in my opinion.Jackie was and is able to put togheter fluid fight scenes cause thats how good he really is in pure kung fu skills because he is a werry intelligent fighter and filmmaker.The same goes with Biao and Sammo.Dont underestimate mr Chan my friend.
@almo89899 жыл бұрын
Orion Jimmy I know they came from the same opera skills. Jackie is one of my favorite entertainers of all time and I love his movies. I never underestimated him. I never said he had no skills or can't do any moves that Yuen Biao and Sammo can do. They all have a different skill set. I was just pointing out that he's underrated as a filmmaker because everybody sees what he does on screen and all they can think about are his fighting skills which he has a ton, but his filmmaking side is underrated.
@elvisjimpa1009 жыл бұрын
Nathan C Thats true dude.In hong kong he is a pure genius in filmmaking and his real fans knows that too and he has done everything.Drama,action,comedy for over 30 years but in america he are mostly playing a sidekick and i think that is wrong.He has gotten alittle misstreated in america over the years and Jackie himself dosent like the rush hour series at all and i can understand why.If people want the real Jackie Chan stile then they need to watch his hong kong movies.By the way The young master is a great movie.His fight with Hwang in Shik is legendary but if i got to be honest i like the fight in the middle best when Hwang proves his tae kwon do skills against a couple of bad guys.Man hes crazy fast and no wonder he was underused in the way of the dragon.I love Bruce Lee but if Hwang in Shik did the moves he did in the young master he would steal the show i think even from mr Lee.

The kick at 1:33 was actually not Jackie; for that one he was doubled by Chin Kar-Lok. In fact, in some international versions the slow-motion version is completely removed, presumably because you can see enough of the face to see that it is not Jackie.
@cherylcohen57002 жыл бұрын
He was still suffering from injury at that point & could not do the kick to his own standards & would not delay production or risk the qualty of the scene by attempting to do something he knew he was physically unable to execute properly at the time. It was not the 1st time he needed a double due to injury although it was not often. Several times he was filming 2 movies at once (he couldnt be in 2 places at once) and had foubles gor mundane scenes like walking, driving, or views of the back of his head. etc.
