Another detail I hated with the avengers is how much he pants. He sounds out of breath all the time. I'm okay with grunts because sometimes you can portray strength that way, but he just pants and breathes so loudly makes you wonder if he's really been doing this for a long time or if he's getting too old.

But that doesn't change the fact that it wasn't his first day on the job, he's handled crime before (the movie doesn't even try to act otherwise he's so casual with normal criminals.) Homecoming doesn't try to make him completely new to the job; just somebody somewhat new having to deal with a new problem they weren't prepared for, and a lot on their plate. And since he has experience (indicated by how he handled the ATM robbery before the gadgets came into play. As well as the fact that it's stated he's been dealing with it since before Civil War.) Regardless of how little it is, it's still more experience than litterally none (he is by default the most experienced. Since we litterally watch the other spider-men discover their powers and learn to use them.)

Modern combat is neat. I mean when you first see it you go like “it's a cod ripoff” but modern combat 5 really was a hidden gem and had a surprisingly good campaign as well; versus dropped the ball a bit with all those shady microtransactions, but the game and the lore themselves were actually pretty solid, a shame they didn't make a campaign for that one. NOVA clearly tries to be a Halo clone, but it's more of a futuristic cod clone in my opinion as the story isn't as focused on some kind of special unit like the spartans, or a super character like chief, but rather on a single soldier trying to make sense out of what's happening around him. If they re released some of these games in a newer engine (mainly talking about NOVA here) with no p2w elements and a deeper focus on cosmetics instead, they could still win a slice of the mobile market, they are casual shooters with basic mechanics and solid story and could work like an alternative to cod mobile (which gets sweatier and sweatier as you play): a simple game to play during a lunch/coffee break when you just want to shoot something, without needing to place on a table playing with 8 sweaty fingers on an ipad.

The combat on mobile is so snappy and quick, it actually looks really fun to play. Meanwhile, on console it looks like spidey's fighting with a bad shoulder and a sprained ankle.

I played tasm2 mobile and the combat is even better than web of shadows. Mixing webs with hits makes you do mind-blowing combos. It had the largest skill tree i ever saw in a game which all included combos you unlock from mixing specific patterns and all the moves are entirely different than one another. One had you punching faster. Another had you webbing enemies and throwing them at each other, and another where spidey straight up jumps and does shoots webs like you have never seen before and insta kills the enemy. The difficulty was high, too. In the ps4 game, it takes around 4-5 hits to finish an enemy off. Here, it takes 10-15. This game was a blast, too bad the contract with gameloft ended

This revealed a weird peeve of mine when it comes to Spider-Man suits, in the Avengers game they put his red "web belt" thing if you wanna call it, way too high on his torso, when you put it there it makes him look so much more square-ish, more blocky and stout. And the decision to make it concave down gives his torso altogether a weird shape. I always feel like its better to aim towards a leaner look because it lends to the whole Spider persona, in addition to Peter Parker being akin to an al dente noodle prior to getting powers, although for how fast he's going in this game he might as well be bulkier

Before the dlc dropped the only reason I delete the game of my console was because I was hoping that Spider-Man would be fun to play. But then the dlc actually came out. I played as Spider-Man for about an hour before I turned it off, deleted the game, and haven't touched it since. It was honestly one of the most disappointing game experiences I've ever had.

The exploration in Avengers just feels so limited since you can’t even go that high (especially a problem for the city maps), the traversal is so slow and the areas aren’t even really that big

For the record, it’s not the worst thing in the world. The fact that they even put Spider-Man in the game in the first place is a dream come true. Sure, a lot of it is super clunky, but it doesn’t deserve to be compared to these other games like this. This isn’t a Spider-Man game. It’s Spider-Man in an avengers game. I’m not saying it’s underrated or anything like that, but it doesn’t deserve as much hate as it’s getting.
