I like this series for its realism and earthiness without CGI, Fred Waugh is the highlight of this tv series, his stunts are great, he deserves absolute respect, I'm sorry that modern fans nitpick and ridicule him.
@solitaire8585 Жыл бұрын
The show was one of my favorites when I was a kid growing up outside of Boston, and they would replay it on channel 56 occasionally on Saturdays. Fred Waugh was a trailblazer in the stunt community. Fun fact, he played a construction worker Dennis Quaid tries to save during his first dream interaction in Dreamscape, where I believe he was also the stunt coordinator

@vinvass26746 жыл бұрын
It was played straight but was camp and hammy. The actors knew that, and playing it straight made it work. Lois and Clark was probably the last superhero show to be done this way - and it's why villains like John Shea's version of Lex Luthor are so great. You can well imagine Hasselhoff, a few years younger than when he did Knight Rider, playing Peter Parker instead of Nicholas Hammond and it working the same way. Same as if you imagine Adam West playing Captain Kirk and Shatner playing Bruce Wayne. Or Ron Ely playing either of those roles while West or Shatner played Tarzan.
