The fastest way to swing is by using something directly overhead. Swinging from buildings is a lot slower because they vary in height and anchoring to a building means he'd swing right into the side of it unless he was within feet of the wall and shot his web straight up. He'd be constantly swinging from side to side not going anywhere real quick. Raimi's Spider-man didn't really follow the laws of physics at all, for this one they actually wanted to have him have weight and presence swinging

Seeing everyone from the theater back then cheer on Andrew made me smile so big. It really shows that even though he’s often overlooked in favor of Tobey and Tom, he is in no way shape or form lame. I didn’t have the pleasure of seeing this in theaters but I can feel without a doubt that there are at least some people out there that think Andrew truly is The Amazing Spider-Man :)
