We moved out of our basement in Brampton to a condo in Toronto. In this video, we will give you a tour of our condo, our moving experience, discuss why we are renting and not buying and a lot more! By the view, do watch the video till the end for the amazing view and sunset ;-)

We don't like immigration agents - the ones' that aren't authorized by ICCRC and qualified to help you with your application in exchange for money - first of all, it's not legal to do that, and second of all, it's so easy that you don't really need paid help! Therefore, we are taking matters in our own hands. Congratulations on your 5 year wedding anniversary and on your move to the condo!!! Reminds me of when my wife and I moved our of the student house living in one room and into our own efficiency. We just put our stuff into the back of my brand new Toyota Tercel and moved after I got my first job in 1992 after graduation. It was awesome to have our very own clean bathroom. We bought a new futon. Three months later we bought our first home, single family house. No furniture. Received a lot of hand-me-downs from friends. Guests used to sit on the floor on carpet. So thrilled to see the progress you guys have made in a few months. My wife and I love Toronto especially the diverse food. We have many friends in the Toronto area with who we grew up with in Bombay. I would recommend waiting to buy a single family home rather than a move to buy your own condo then a town house and then a single family home. You will need multiple 18-wheelers and a moving company in 10-20 years to move your stuff. All the best!!!!

Yeah, condo fees are high with a mortgage payment so it's suggested to invest in a freehold townhouse, semi-detach in GTA instead of in condo/apartment. Credit length is important but if you have your paychecks for 3-4 months and employment letter you can definitely buy/lease a car at good rates

Whats the relationship between Basement and winters? Isn't the temperature controlled? My immigration is in process, will probably be making a landing in winters assuming things open up and living in basement would most likely be the initial option.

Qazi Hassaan as far as i have heard from known people living in canada and watching hundreds of youtube videos i have come to a conclusion that despite the controlled temperature, the basement is still colder than the rest of the house. And if you plan on buying extra heaters, then thats not good for you health as it is a hazard if used for a long time and your nose will start bleeding on its overuse. And the last thing i discovered was the lack of windows leading to a lack of sunlight which is extremely important in winters to keep you warm as well as staying positive not taking you towards seasonal affective disorder. (You can check this out online). So in the end all i want to say is that for the initial months basements are a life saviour due to leaser rent but its best that you move out of a basement as soon as you get a job and capable of renting a condo. Rest all is on you this is all very subjective but the things i said are the majority experiences.
