I absolutely love your channel! I have enjoyed all of the history lessons. As a guy that lived through the monster receiver wars, I enjoy 70s gear the most and the old ads are awesome! Looking forward to 2025. Happy New Year!

Really enjoyed this one Scott! Looking forward to more terrific videos in the New Year. Interviews with those in the industry of the past sounds great.

It’s funny everyone hates the 80s blackface era but it’s nostalgic to me. I was born in 83 and a JVC black tower cabinet is what my dad had and passed down to me when I turned 10 in 1993 and got me a Sega CD, my very first music player. Also remember my mom showing me how to handle your CDs responsibly and not chuck them around like so many young people did my age.

I really appreciate the blast from the past videos you do. At times you feature something that was a teenage fantasy to some. I wanted KLH Barons, Koss CM 1030, Infinity Quantum Line Source, Pioneer HPM 200 because of a magazine review, (at least until I heard the sound of the HPM 100). I realized then that colored nasal sound wasn't for me. I also dreamed of owning speakers that a theatre used. Never could find out which ones they used. Also dreamed of the speakers Laserium used. Found out they were JBLs; 38 of them all playing at the same time. The fantasy is long faded. I never owned any of them. I made only one bad speaker purchase, and except for its Asian coloration it was not bad, and I' have owned many speakers. I was lucky and researching helped. Happy New Year!

One could argue the Marantz 2600 was top dog due to it being the only one rated at 4 ohms, 400wpc. Stereo Review September 1978 pg 66 has the Technics SA-1000 advertised.

Another great video Scott but surprisingly you don’t have any Phase Lanier, which I thought dominated the early 70s to mid 70s. Keep up the great work.
