I love the fact that some modern shows like Gumball show how there are some people that truly are just plain evil for no reason not some sympathetic angle of trauma or circumstances good she got back some karma at the end she deserved it.

Sign of the times, also just a fact of life that kids need to be at least aware of, in a way that actually helps a lot with development. Spongebob was similar, a lot of the bikini bottom's citizens while goofy are just plain rude or indifferent, like people IRL as well lol Side tangent, the original Animal Crossing had villagers that were very overtly rude unless you were friends, and even then they made side jabs when they were, but the latter case was characteristic and not mean-spirited. Compared to the modern iteration that are only adorable and don't have a mean bone in their body and don't have a single bad thing to say minus jokes.
