Hey thanks for sharing this video. I appreciate your thoughts on the subject. I think the American is to be debt free. If the American people didn’t have so much debt, I think we would be better off. We could definitely save like adults should. Also I think the American dream seems out of reach because most of us don’t really understand the corporation we live in. We have been told so many lies as a people which got us to this point. But I agree with the fact that the journey to wealth in America is Exhausting. Especially when you have a lot of debt. Not gonna lie. I’m considering teaching English abroad for a more easier way of life. SK, China are my top 2 countries.

Debt is a great call out too! & the opportunity to go abroad is a great option imo. Somethings (like debt) can't be ignored though even if you're abroad. 😩

@@NneniaYasmeen yea I agree unless you get citizenship somewhere else and never come back lol. I want to teach abroad. I’m considering it. But I’m 32 so if I do, I should probably stay abroad. I saw your video about making the transition depending on where you’re at in life. It made me think twice lol

Simple find Jesus find contentment. If you have food and water on your table, clothes on your back, and a shelter over your head. You are bless. And let’s face it a lot of us have way more than that we just fail to see it because we are to busy looking at other peoples blessings therefore fail to see our own. 💡. Don’t get lost chasing the dream live for the day and enjoyed what it has to offer. So many people forget to live while chasing that they end up breathing but not living.

I can definitely agree there's room to assess what's a necessity vs luxury and comparing oneself! There's a lot to be grateful for too but room for improvement on all sides. Thanks for the comment. 😀

Most other countries I know the people have a side hustle. It’s not just america. I live in the Caribbean and date a Caribbean who has two jobs. Most people have two jobs in the world because they don’t get paid a lot. Maybe you are only comparing America to other developed nations which might be only slightly better. Then you can just say the western /European dream is still alive and well

Yeah I was comparing the American Dream to America!

If you talk to the International community (people who moved here from other countries), they will tell you that the American dream is alive and well. The problem is most people are trying to live a very convenient lifestyle. Convenience is the new currency 💴 here in America, meaning they don’t want to do much. If you’re not hustling here in America you’re going to have issues. You’re living in the best country in the world and giving up privileges that many people all around the world would die to have. Plus you don’t know what the culture of the politics are in these countries, the cost of living is very high in these other countries. Work hard, become educated, network and you should be okay here in America 🇺🇸

I'm familiar with this take from the International community! I think it's true there are people outside their means and wanting unnecessary things for little output but. I can say there is a lot that can be improved for the ones showing up everyday "hustling" and still struggling. You're community & the privileges it has access or knowledge to have an affect on these opportunities as well.

Immigrants from Venezuela literally are moving back because they don't think the American dream still exists

I am International lived in the Europe for 10 years now in the US for 2 years! Yes American dreams are dead! Only people from Venezuela or Haitian the American dreams are still alive!

It depends on who you’re asking, I personally know people from the International community whose getting their college degrees, working, starting new businesses and jobs, and buying homes. That’s the text book definition of the American dream folks. You have to work hard for it, nothing is going your way be given to you here. And they’re still receiving government benefits on top of that. You got to network and take advantage of every opportunity that’s out here. Complaining is not going to get you anywhere.

Whatever you are saying is the story of the past!! If you are offended with my comments then I don't mind! Because the US is fucked up now with illegal immigrants and I can see the inflation, safety, and discrimination at the highest level now! I have a PhD and working as a scientist! Get in reality, dont teach me the textbook definitions! I have read textbook books more than Yku have ever read in your whole life!

For me it’s safety. I’m doing okay financially but if you live in a major city in America fun violence is real. I lived and taught in the Middle East and I felt quite safe.

not just the cities, the entirety of America is unsafe. The only time I took a road trip in America resulted in me almost being carjacked at a Conoco in rural Oklahoma. The carjackers were hiding INSIDE the gas station and the surveillance system was "under maintainance" (aka criminal employee aiding and abetting their criminal buddies). Do not underestimate rural crime. Businesses literally working with criminals. You never hear about it because it doesn't grab the headlines like urban crime.
