The American Indian has served in every U.S. conflict since the beginning of America. In the Civil War, the Catawba, Cherokee, Chicksaw, Choctaw, Creek and Seminole tribes all fought for the Confederacy. While the Creek and Delaware tribes served the Union. Watch this video for details.

My Indian family were the most smartest, diligent and strong people of pride of all U.S. time. I'm so greatful to say I am one and we matter too.

It is very clear, atleast to me, that the slavery that existed in this country was very different compared to other countries and cultures. Chattle slavery, which is what would better describe the type of slavery that existed in this country since it was colonized, is the most brutal, dehumanizing, and horrific type of slavery I've ever cone across in any of my readings on the subject

I mean, they were. They were looked upon poorly due to the fact most refused to give up their land to the European settlers that needed it. I don’t mean any offense but they did themselves no favors trying to fight Europeans that were willing to trade with them and assimilate them into their culture which led to many battles and killings of Indians

Interesting documentary; however, it is Brigadier General Stand Watie CSA who was the highest ranking Indian general in the War Between the States. Lt Colonel Ely Parker USA was not the highest ranking Indian officer.

The Cherokee Braves commanded by General Stand Waite that fought for the Confederacy was the most famous of the war, they were also the last Confederates to surrender.

That's a proven lie and another attempt to whitewash and deflect history . Osceola was said to state that he had NO European blood in his veins . The disrespect is the constant high hacking of every culture . You probably never heard of Negro Abraham who was Osceola's uncle . Osceola is not even the correct spelling . Asi Yah Ola is the true spelling.

Osceola’s mother was not black. She was Muscogee Creek. He probably had a wife that was a runaway black slave though.

Osceola was the nephew of Negro Abraham . Those Muscogee Creek that you speak of were nothing but Maroons/ Negros . I'm in Bainbridge Georgia (Pucknawhitla) Seminole Town. The Village of Fowltown is the only 10 minutes away .

African American is one of the dumbest term that Jesse Jackson could ever push to call a group of people of complex genetics. Hell, I'm a mix of Indigenous, Caucasian, and majority African.
