I lost my wife to cancer March 8, 2019. We loved this song. We were from Pittsburgh and that was actually what jumped out about this song to us. She ended up dying from cancer being in her blood and had fluid in her lungs. Every time I hear that part, I just think of the irony how it remind me of her now. I miss you honey. Always.

Nearly 10 years have gone by and this song hits me just as hard every time I hear it. I have to turn it off before the chorus hits if I am around people because I immediately start crying. Its almost a Pavlovian response. And this song's meaning to me has evolved and grown with me over time. I really appreciate this piece of music for the hard times it has helped me through. I just wish I could listen to it without thinking about all the people I have lost along the way in life

Really need this album soon, you don't just get over depression and everything turn into flowers and butterflies, you merely lose the feeling of sadness by distracting it with things that make you happy, friends/family etc, and depending on circumstances you will come to a point where you encounter the same trigger that cause you to become depress, that's me and I'm afraid I'm suffering a relapse feeling more like the me of the past and hopefully their next album come on time to give me some hope like how their older stuffs always do, this is not just music for me, its medicine for a broken soul

It's all okay man a lot of us feel and go through the same things, I've been battling depression since I was 18 and I'm 23. Just take it day by day; if you don't listen to the color morale you should listen to the album know hope, it's pretty beautiful tbh.

Found this song after losing the only father I've ever known. It represents how I felt on a daily basis before his passing and better represents my life afterwards... now I have to keep going for him.. myself.. and my baby sister who I've been raising as my own since the day she was born. Tyler Wafflez After I posted that comment I started really looking around at their videos and unfortunately came to that same conclusion quite quick. At first people said he was having "post nasal drip" issues but that wouldn't make it hard to sing certain notes, that would inhibit smooth breathing I guess but he didn't sound good :( I noticed he used to do lots of different styles on their first album, he also smokes cigs so maybe it's affecting him or he's just not warming up beforehand. Sometimes cigs don't do anything to a persons voice but not warming up or singing improper can be very harmful too, especially if you're playing every night.

Check them all out! Severed Ties and Glory Days are their lesser known older albums, but they're fucking sweet. Youngbloods, in my opinion, is the one that put them out there and then Chasing Ghosts is what catapulted them to being how popular they are now. These dudes are sick and definitely look at the lyrical content of their songs. There's so much going on in every song.

It's a hard pit to climb out of. During 2019 I suffered from depression and suicidal thoughts. What kept me from taking my life was the fact my mother saved my life and my brother lost his best friend because he killed himself 5 years ago. My father told me to see someone. A year of therapy made me realise that life is still worth living, no matter the betrayals, no matter how hopeless it may seem at times. All this to say, life is a constant battle, but the best way to get through it, is by talking to people who care about you. The last thing anyone should do is keep their struggle quiet

In the autumn of 2019, I was battling a bout of depression. Frequently, I would awake wishing I hadn't. I was signed off sick from work, not wanting to get out of bed and one day, after going to see my GP, I went for a walk to try and clear my thoughts. I was listening to a Made For You playlist on Spotify and this song came on. It was the first time I had heard it, and it hit me like nothing else. Every word was so relatable and to see so many people feel the same way about this song, highlights the power of music. I'm pleased to say that I've come through my mental health struggles and I am now in a great place, but to those who are struggling, reach out. Don't suffer alone.

Listening to this band while drinking makes it hit me right in the chest. Feels more real then all the other times I’ve listened to this song. This band is so cathartic for me. They aren’t afraid to bare their souls and truly demonstrate the darkness of depression and the shit parts of life. Cheers lads keep it up

You've summed it up m8. This song unravels the chaos in your mind & straightens some of the shit out. Awesome band!

Cried on a bridge this morning while listening to this song. I sat and watched the cars pass below and realized that every vehicle that passed had a person who goes through struggles just like I do. It really put shit into perspective for me. This song has some serious power and I'd say that for the first time in my life, I'm making a comment about how a song saved my life.

These guys are fuckin' dedicated to their videos. Like, first they practically fucking drown and keep playing (or trying, drumming underwater seems hard), then they fucking set themselves on fire and keep playing in The Weigh Down. Other music videos tell cool stories, but god damn they don't go to these lengths to show something.

+Lie Ren Nope, it isnt. There were really in water and they were actually on fire, that's why they had an odd goo looking thing on them. It's a substance people who do fire scenes for movies use.

+ArrKayCee those are still visual effects. Do you see it? Then it's a visual effect. It doesn't have to be done with a computer.

+Kevin W Nope, the effects seen on camera are called practical effects. Visual effects are computer generated.

ArrKayCee literally every visual effects department pre-toy story would disagree with you, because a practical effect is a visual effect. Visual effect is an umbrella term that covers practical effects as well as computer generated effects...

+Kevin W I was gonna add to my comment that it's not really an effect either because they're actually set on fire, but you're gonna disagree. So instead, have a good day.

I wouldn’t trade our genre of music and the experience we feel together while listening to it for anything in this life or the next

for those who don't know... Joel found his serenity at the shoreline. that's why you have Let The Ocean Take Me a.k.a the baddest album ever recorded, and lots of references of water. It saved Joels life. I'd love water too if it saved my life...

Everything in this song is so beautiful, the melody, the emotions through Ahren and Joel's voices, the lyrics, the meaning... One of the most perfect song I've heard 💙

I remember staying up late at night waiting for this song to come out. I remember watching the countdown with such anticipation, I and my friend were texting each other just waiting. When it finally came out, and I listened, I cried my heart out. I was overwhelmed with so much emotion, it really touched me. I was in love with this band, and I could relate to every single song. Such a great and underrated band, I'm just sad that I never got to see them. But there's still hope in January!

I suffer from depression, anxiety, ptsd, dpdr, and panic disorder. I went to a psych ward and this band is relatable. This life doesn’t feel real and that I’m not needed anymore.😢
