Agreed!!!!! This guy doesn't know what he's talking about. Part II has big time atmosphere which horror movies today can seem to achieve, also legitimately scary and down right creepy with all the incent. Actually from what I know the movie was edited for an R rating. Imagine if we could restore the lost footage back in for a directors cut. An rated X version would be bonkers. 😲

VS recently said that "The Amityville Curse" isn't an official installment and was made by a low budget canadian studio looking to capitalize on the name, hence why it's not in their box set.

Yeah, I read something similar about "The Amityville Curse". I figured that's why they didn't include it.

There are certainly some highlights in the franchise (particularly the original film). I sometimes forget just how much I enjoy that first movie and have to revisit it from time to time just to remind myself.

Thanks for that info. I actually wasn't aware of that. They're still available through some online retailers. But if anyone is interested, it's probably a good idea to snatch one up before they start to shoot up in price.
