Just want to say thank you BabyFaceBren for uploading this, and doing it so well. The concept is fantastic. The frequency works out perfectly for his characters to be in this order. The fact that you include timestamps without spoilers, and just put so much detail in the description is a nice touch that shows the care you took in making this. I love that you let the clips breathe, where we get all of what makes these debuts so great. I also personally appreciate the explanations about skipping plane breaks, so I know exactly what was happening with the skip forward in time. Also, all of the pictures used in the video were informative at the perfect time, without ever being distracting, and letting the audio medium speak for itself. There are probably other great things I am not even mentioning, but there were enough moments I had enjoying where I appreciated the specific things you did I had to make a comment just expressing my gratitude and how impressed I am by your work.

For a summer my brother and I shared a bed room and we would stay up so late listening to these early CBB days and would stay up even later repeating them and laughing ourselves to sleep. Just sent him links to a few of these. Cheers, to your efforts- judging by my amusement and others' comments, your work is greatly appreciated.

The cavalcade of character suicides is, for my money, the greatest moment in CBB history. Very few things reach it's height.
@BabyFaceBren4 жыл бұрын
What blew me away about that is, without any manipulation necessary (the character is outright no. 1 so had to go at the end), that bit rounded off the video perfectly, bringing it full circle and not only that, but the first four character suicides were in order of ranking! I love it when stuff like that happens.

@@ThaneOfFife22 Ha ha, reading this again 10 months later, I am happy to say I DID get around to Fourvel, a saga so big it'll be in three parts. I've been working on part 2 for a while, but I keep getting caught in Fourvel traps myself (Fourvel running across the stage, Fourvel dancing) that stop me cold and I haven't even reached the part you mentioned, but at at least I know how I'm going to do it. Part 2 looks great so far. It'll take a while for Fourvel fans to get the whole lot, but then, the Lord of the Rings saga was not built in a day! I think a Cakeboss losses their authority and bosshood when a customer has bitten the cake It is a form of primal ownership and should not be relinquished to an overreaching taskmaster This supposedly true in prehistoric wolf cultures, personified in the Great White follow up hit 'Once bitten thus mine'

Brett Gelman stories like the i-brain are funny. But I hear he’s an asshole in the real showbiz world. I’m glad they ganged up on him. I think he was legitimately upset they interrupted his bit.
@BabyFaceBren Жыл бұрын
I have thought that before about Gelman, but not in this case. There are appearances where he doesn't finish what he's written and maybe he's been annoyed (though I lean to it being more of a joke, because it's a running joke) but in this case, he got to the end of "iBrain", so I put Brett's "anger" down to acting. It's funny, because I don't watch much television, the CBB gang exist for me pretty much within CBB, apart from the obvious breakouts, like Lauren in films, but I don't know anything else Gelman has done, for instance. I heard a while back one of them is doing bits for one of the tonight shows, but I've forgotten who and which show! To hear ANY of them is on one of those mainstream, cookie-cutter "comedy" shows just depresses me, but I suppose they have to make a buck. Now and then I'll be watching something and a CBB regular will pop up. Recently, I binged "Veep" and Andy Daly popped up (he was brilliant) and a few weeks back I was watching an "American Dad" episode and Lauren Lapkus was in the credits and I had to go back and find her (it was a voice she hasn't used for any of her CBB characters!). It's easy to believe Gelman is an asshole in real life, just from the way he is on CBB. I can imagine a few being "difficult". In fact, the only one I'd have trouble believing it about would be Scott himself.

@BabyFaceBren Жыл бұрын
Yes, he isn't for everyone, be you are right that he gets a lot out of others. The reactions to what Gelman says are funnier than what he says and in that way, he's kind-of a straight man. I mean that in the comedy sense, I should point out, because somebody blasted me once for writing "straight man", thinking I was referring to a heterosexual male and he blasted me for implying gay people are "bent". That person obviously doesn't know much about the real me showing in a lot of my videos!
