Weezer has a lot of b-sides and throw away songs but this one here is a true gem in my eyes. One of my top 5 Weezer tracks
@GothRocker74 жыл бұрын
I will never understand why Weezer doesn't play this song more, I mean it is spiritual, dark, and beautiful, that is what makes a great song. I guess Rivers doesn't think it is good enough, or maybe he thinks it is a downer, but we need songs like this, we need depth.
@ethanthebigmuscleman2 жыл бұрын
they don't cuz it wasn't a hit and some people just go to their shows to hear buddy holly or island in the sun
@gugu52852 жыл бұрын
@@ethanthebigmuscleman i hate that that is the reality, all i see spammed during the live shows nowadays is "do buddy holly". they literally have like a thousand songs under their belt most of which are fantastic and yet unreleased its such a tragedy
@ethanthebigmuscleman2 жыл бұрын
@@gugu5285 I agree, they have some absolutely incredible songs that never get played at any shows but fucking Beverly Hills does every show. I would love if they played brundt jamb, angel and the one, run away, tragic girl and others but they never do.
@nsiderultimaseth2 жыл бұрын
@@ethanthebigmuscleman They do play Burndt Jamb at shows pretty regularly, or at least did for a period. I don't think they always did the full song but for a while it was a staple vamp. And for what it's worth, I love hearing Beverly Hills live lol. The whole earth shakes as everyone stomps to the beat. It's awesome. But I agree, I hope to be able to go to a show and hear some of the more epic Weezer songs again. Only in Dreams, Angel and the One, Futurescope, any of that stuff.
@ethanthebigmuscleman2 жыл бұрын
@@nsiderultimaseth I would kill to see run away live honestly, ik a lot of people don't like Hurley but that track is absolutely beautiful and that outro would be incredible live, but if they played only in dreams live I would freak the fuck out

Even if you can't really see what's happening that well 100% of the time, the audio on this video is surprisingly very good. Really gives you a good idea of what it would've sounded like to be there.

Well done. I was at that gig. Security were uncharacteristically brutal from the start with anyone trying to film anything (as per Rivers' request???). I have this song recorded somewhere too. Will need to find it and upload.
