i dont want to face the days in 2025 without listening to a lil Angel City!!

Saw this band at a 2 dollar catch a rising star concert in Seattle in the early eighties. Not kidding, it was the loudest concert I've ever been to, I couldn't hear for two days. And I've seen: AC/DC, Motorhead, Iron Maiden, Saxon and more. To this day it may have been the best concert I've ever been to. Doc put on one of the best live performances I've ever seen. He jump off speakers, walked on the arms of the chairs over the crowd, challenged audience members to slap boxing matches, and hopped around the stage on both feet throughout the show. Will never forget that night.

I have seen the Angels live many times, they were my favourite band growing up. Still have all their albums and can sing all the lyrics. Interesting that they played Seattle, at a Pearl Jam gig I went to a few years ago Mike McCready was wearing a Face to Face tee-shirt. Perhaps he was at the same gig?

I saw Motörhead in the early 80’s and as for loud, well I’m 57 now and my ears are still messed from that show. Thanks Lemmy….It’s worth it! Love the angels ( Angel city) never got to see them live though. I grew up in Salem Oregon so I remember the Catch a rising star shows. KGON FM DJ’s Country cousin Dicky sheets and the The Big B.A. ( Bob Anchetta) use to plug those shows all the time back in the day!🎶

Very saddened when “Doc” died in 2014. My all time favorite tracks though are “I can’t shake it” from “Face to face”and “Devils gate” from the “Darkroom” album. Love the Angels!
