The best episode. I left India 30 years before. I had many Anglo Indian friends. Very nice and kind people. God bless all.

In the mid sixties, all my teachers at St. John's Vestry High School, Trichy. were Anglo Indians. When I went to work abroad, I became close to the British Community, became a contractor for their embassy, army personnel and pilots. At the club when someone said that I spoke the Queen's English, I tearfully remembered Miss Abernathy, Miss Green and Mrs Winter. Going back to the sixties, as a six year old, who was also privately tutored by Miss Abernathy, I always thought why is this lady smelling like Brittania Biscuits which my dear dad bought for me ever so often. Fast forward to the nineties, I had a British lady work for me in my office by the name of Genevieve. When I got back to India in 2012 and went to a nearby bakery to buy some Brittania biscuits for tea, I thought why are these biscuits smelling like Genevieve? Life had come full circle.

I'm really enjoying this series! Interesting about the hockey among A-I's. My Anglo-Indian Granddad, who brought the family to Perth around 1948, was a keen cricket umpire. He would often arrive late to family lunches on the weekend, because he'd been at a match. He was from Bangalore and went to Bishop Cotton school though, so I think sports were drilled into him from a very young age! He did daily exercises including pushups into his seventies and even had cold showers!

Well made series - congrats to Harry MacLure, Richard O'Connor, and the team for a splendid job at making this series of videos highlighting the community in Madras. It's very well presented and a fantastic showcase of our lives and the nostalgia it evokes through every moment of footage. Most times I'm liberal in what I want to say, but this is one occasion that I'm at a loss for words as it were - in my effort to show my appreciation for the fantastic effort you gents have put in to make this possible. Suffice to say, I'm a proud Anglo Indian from Bangalore, and you folks have made my pride in our community swell even more. God bless you all, your technical crew, and the members of the community who have all come forward with their contributions that make this narrative so real, relatable, and an absolute treasure to witness. Well done!

Just so moving. And full of good will to all. Some very poignant and, also, hilarious vignettes- well done Richard and Harry, I'm sure the community recognises how well you are preserving the tale of the community.

Most of us who have Anglo-Indian lineage .. somehow .. we have lost track of our ancestry .. Some of us are now married to Malayalees and Tamils .. soon we will forget our Anglo Indian heritage. It's sad

Stayed at the Daly House, 14, Mayor Sivaraj Street, Royapetta for a brief period of time. Had the first and most amazing experience of staying in a joint family and that too an Anglo Indian family. Very hospitable, very loving and caring and laughter was the essence of this home. The food was amazing...not because of the way it was prepared but because by how it was eaten - AS A FAMILY. This documentary refreshed old memories.

All is well that ends well now what's the use of blowing a trumpet of years gone by Anglo Indians are not thought of nor spoken about and not recognized by the Government of India where is the use of blowing a trumpet of years gone by when it is a known fact that even the Anglo Indian Associations all over India can do anything to change the fate of the Anglo Indians in India only the Anglo Indians who are in the Association are living a very comfortable life The plight of the MLAs is very pitiful partly because of the because of the lack of knowledge of Tamil when the MLA gets up to voice their opinions in the Assembly they are booed and told to talk in Tamil with that there's silence

No use of making any more documents of the Anglo Indians because the interviews with several Anglo Indians in India and abroad (famous expression you know)that shows the true identity of the Anglo Indians so it will be useful for the Editor of the..Anglos (Gone )with the wind to concentrate on any other subject than to waste time on a forgotten community all the Articles concerning the Anglo Indians in India in the constitution are Gone with the wind

Richard tries to paint a false picture of trying to show the AIs as Aristocrats and he has a kind of a "superiority" complex just because someone is an AI. He should be more open and accept the reality and talk about the real facts and hardships the AIs have endured rather than paint a false picture of pride and aristocracy. I accept there were who were really wealthy and ostentatious but that was only a handful or the privileged ones... he should never try to paint a false picture or try to show rosy things. I hate that attitude of his and his fellow AIs who try to make believe the other mainstream fellow citizens.
