I used to be on the left, and white leftists are conditioned to believe black conservatives are "self-hating." However, even back then, I didn't buy it. I was a CPS investigator for years and even on that job full of liberals I had a conservative black co-worker, and I listened to her reasons and it had alot to do with the destruction of the black family with welfare. I admit that she was the first person I had really heard about the destruction of the black family and I didn't want to just yank welfare from people but I respected why she felt the way she did. I never would have been nasty to her the way I have seen white liberals be towards any black people who are conservative. I was honestly just interested in hearing her out. Back then most black women my age and older were all Christians who prayed before eating and against abortion so they would be considered right-wing today. I was for abortion but always understood why anyone would be against it. Today's left acts like they don't even understand how anyone could be against abortion and I find that to show how little thinking they actually do. They assume its all just religion but, I tell them to think about what they thought about abortion the first time they learned about abortion. As a child first +Back then, George W was in the office, so I don't really regret not supporting him. He is no different than Mitch McConnell, Obama or Liz Cheney, and he was a war monger. I still wouldn't say I am right-wing, but I just don't think these labels necessarily fit. How can there only be 2 labels? That's not enough to define millions of Americans.

Do think that things would be more balanced if you had more than a two party nation? In some European countries they have what is known as proportional representation so for example in Finland there are eight, Germany 5, France 4 main parties and here in the Uk there are three but we also have other parties that take part in our elections but don’t necessarily win a seat in government and in our system the party that’s in power has to win the most seats and have a majority. In order to form a government a party has to have over 50% of the available seats. But there are quite few in this country who would like to abandon the first past the post system and go the proportional representation route. There is a very interesting piece in the encyclopaedia Britannica online which explains the pros and cons. Personally I can make up my mind because I seem to remember being taught in school that it was PR that allowed Hitler to get his foot in the door.

You made me remember the moment i awakened in high school. I stood up for myself but i exploded in a violent rage against a bully. How the teachers and the school counselors poured my in the bully and how I never needed validation from anyone. I simply have my own values and thoughts. I was faced with a guy that disrespected me (like the man the wrote you) but he didn’t to me face and in front of the ppl i actually cared for. I only knew how to respond like the atmosphere around me. I wrecked him, caused doctors bills, but it left ppl afraid of me. The fear in my classmates eye, the teacher that witnessed the assault, the friends of the bully wanting to avenge their homie or befriend me. I am glad yu are taking this well. And I pray the person that wrote this finds that yu are trying to help a slow train wreck. Our culture has to charge or the world will move forward without is. Whats sad is that, yes, he is black. But he is an American. When i hear someone say "you're a trator to your own ppl", its really frustrating. White and black americans are our people. That's the divide and this is something that I don't hear brought up enough. Like i'm an american that is my race. My heritage is lebanese and irish but i've never been to either of those countries. Even. Though one day i would like to, but my personal culture and heritage is american. Black and white is american culture is the same.
