The Animal Jam Plushie Controversy

I thought this would be important to address. Weeks ago, WildWorks (developer of Animal Jam, Play Wild, and Feral) sent out an exclusive gift box to all of the Jambassadors (Animal Jam brand ambassadors). Within the box contained codes to redeem plushies replicating the Jambassadors' looks, which would soon rise to become some of the rarest items in the game. In this video, I address some of the concerns jammers and Jambassadors had over this release, and reveal/unbox everything contained in the gift box (including some Feral leaks/spoilers). The plushie situation was one of the most stressful experiences I’ve ever had on Animal Jam if I’m being honest. I had to avoid logging on Animal Jam PC most days because the stress was almost unbearable. I’m SO glad you’ve finally made a video talking about it. I hope it gets others to understand a bit more why it was stressful for some of us Jambassadors to deal with lol

@@PixelaGames2000 I agree to give nm more to do/have in the game other than just existing but there's no way they'd price the membership lower. It's the same pricing as most other memberships so I think it's fair. There should be a 1 month membership added to the game though for $5-$15 maybe.

I remember jam con 😊 it was awesome. I loved meeting everyone, I think the only thing I regret was being so shy, leaving early and Julian thought I was 12 when I was actually the same age he was at the time 😅 (16? If I remember correctly, It was a bit ago and my memory is kinda shitty.) Gave everyone a plaque present. I wish there would be another one tbh, I'd still go even now as an adult. I was happy the last one was in Boston because I lived in Massachusetts at the time (now Vermont for college) and there never seemed to be any events up here. Most events are held in California/the southern states sadly, all we get are famous people visiting mass moca and haunted buildings for KZbin videos/ghost hunting TV shows. Anyway, enough of my nostalgic rambling. These plushies are kinda an issue 😅 recently logged on to re-live my child hood and so much has changed it's insane and not in a good way.

you probably wont see this, but, I played animal jam 2014-16, and then logged off for a while. I just started up again a week ago to see how animal jam is doing. Whilst I was playing, I suddenly got nostalgia and began to remember some of my favorite KZbinrs that I had absolutely forgotten about. while scrolling through yt, looking at aparri, and julian2 quitting , I realized how much all of you made my childhood. It was really interesting to watch this video, as we were able to learn not only what Jambassadors received in their custom boxes, but also see the plushie bonanza from the eyes of a Jambassador. Animal Jam’s economy is fueled by rares, and having a plushie that is meant to hold a sentimental meaning to the receiver, only to be sought out for its 'value' is demeaning to what the item should be representing. I highly respect the decisions of the Jambassadors that decided to publicly release their plushies into designated claw machines, and allow everyone that wishes to own plushies of their favorite KZbinrs to do so. I also respect the decisions of the Jambassadors that have decided to hold onto their plushies, and give them out to specific individuals. If given out carefully, this allows the plushies to still hold a sentimental value, as well as not fuel people to actively seek out these items for rarity purposes. Jambassadors that are selective in regards to giving out their custom plushie are likely to give out the item only to their closest friends, which leads to a lower likelihood of these items spreading throughout the game as a rarity symbol. Thank you for the video, and I really loved hearing your side! I hope other Jambassadors release what they think of these new plushies and their stance in regards to the item and its impact on the game.

One thing that kind of sucks with the plushies being put in the claws is that Jambassadors held art contests for people to win them beforehand. So, people spent time out of their days making art for these plushies... only for them to become worthless.

I played when they were worth a wrist/nature archway and owned a few headdresses at different times. One time that I really remember, is when I chilled with my buddies all wearing headdresses (least me and the buddy I remember, them wearing a cream and red) at the beta party. We were all eagles. This could’ve happened in 2013/14.. but idk it’s been a long time. Thank you for your selflessness in allowing your plushies to be in the claw wisteria. If I had my own plushie, I would put it in the claw so it could be a part of the actual main game! The other jambassadors should reconsider! Wish they were in play wild though

Tbh I think having the plushies in the claw is the better option. It means that fans can easily obtain an item based on somebody they look up to, and it's also way more fair to people who don't spend ages trading for rare items. I really hope more of the jambassadors make the decision to have their plushie available in the claw, I think it's way more fair to newer players/people who aren't as familiar with the rarity system. There's so many had to come by items in the game already, I don't see the point in adding more extremely rare items.

That is a hard question. Keep your plushies rare or not rare? I think I would put them in the claw because I think everyone should deserve to have the plushies they want. Not just because you are not rare so you can not afford one. I think you made the right decision to put them in the claw. I'm a big fan so I'm glad you put your plushies in the claw.
