I had this vinyl when I was a teenager. I would smoke weed and listen to it over and over. Fifty years later I find the vinyl in a second hand store, in premium condition.😊😊

I found this album only today. I will buy a better equipment to listen to it. ERIC BURDON voice! and interpretation, his sense of the song I love it. He's Sir Eric Burdon to me, I was a teenager in the sixties he brought it all back to me in the best form. Yeah, he will have a great come back in the twenties. It's in the air. ❤🎉😊

Eric Burden's voice got it's hook in me the first time I heard him sing. Back in '64 or'65 with "We got to get out of this place", then "please don't let me be misunderstood." On to "Spill the Wine" with War etc., etc. The one quality that always brought me back was that singular, totally unmistakable sound of his voice. Early Stones aside, Eric Burden is the greatest English Bluesman!

This album did not do well. Promotion was poor, and there was no tour. In 1977 most popular songs were disco types and pop songs. But this album is very good. So is Animalism.

this must be one of the best blues records ever . I've heard it said that to sing blues really well you have to be black. Burdon buries that myth.

It is so forgotten record this. Magic. Had forgotten my self. Erics voice is magic. Just watched the concert he did 1982, at Lorelei, Night Rock from Germany. Eric Burdon Band. But this record is outstanding.

I love this whole album, and listen to it all the time. I feel like if it had just gotten more airplay in the US a bunch of hits would have come off of this album. I was 40 when this came out and don’t remember it being played on the radio.

I'd never heard this one. Of course we were too poor for records, so we had to depend on AM radio. These songs aren't exactly 1970's AM radio material.

I bought this album when I was in high school (Conestoga '77) at the beginning of my musical education. Can't even say why I bought it - cool cover? faint recognition of The Animals? But I'm glad I did because it is chock full soul. The performances are outstanding to me and I still love it to this day. Glad to know my instincts were correct.

Really enjoyed this album. Think it under achieved somewhat because it was released around the same time as Punk was breaking through. A great listen though with a good selection of tracks. Shame that it gets hardly any radio airplay.
