The Anthropocene: A Crucial Moment in Earth History

Some scientists argue we are currently in a new geological age called the “Anthropocene,” which is marked by the impacts of human activity on the climate and environment. Dr. Koster asks whether it should be an “epoch” that began with mid-20th century atomic bomb testing, or a much longer and ongoing “event” that profiles the cumulative impacts of human evolution.
