In his letter to the Smyrnaeans, he wrote: “See that you all follow the bishop [overseer], as Jesus Christ follows the Father, and the presbytery [body of older men] as if it were the Apostles.” Ignatius thus advocated that each congregation be supervised by one bishop, or overseer, who was to be recognized as distinct from, and having greater authority than, the presbyters, or older men, though an "overseer" and "elder" refers to the same position of responsibility in the Christian congregation. And there is purgatory (that "relies" on the false doctrine of "hell" and immortality of the soul), the cross (that came through Egypt as the ankh or crux ansata), Christmas that was Christianized in the 4th century C.E. by the Catholic church, being drawn from the pagan Roman celebration of Saturnalia (that ran from December 17-24) and Mithra (the Persian god of light and was celebrated on December 25, whereby the celebration of Mithra was called "the birthday of the invincible sun", so the Catholic church made a slight change for Jesus so-called birthday on December 25 as "the birthday of the invincible Son"). Is there not a pattern developing, of how Christendom, that started out as the Catholic church, became divided with the Protestant Reformation in 1517 C.E., and grew into a world wide empire of some 41,000 different denominations and sects that now comprises Christendom, the antichrists. These smothered true Christians until "the harvest season" (that began in 1914), so that at the end of the "harvest season" (or the final choosing of the "wheat" of true Christians to serve as members of God's heavenly Kingdom is complete, see Rev 12:17), Christendom as the "weeds" of antichrists will be "burned up" (Matt 13:30), along with the rest of the religions of the world as one composite group called Babylon the Great.(Rev 17:5, 16, 17)

This preaching sews into the carnality of man therefore men are conquered by "Lust of tge eye," Lust of the flesh," and "The Pride of life" the things that Jesus (the second Adam) had victory over in the Wilderness. This preaching forces people into idolatry of materialism and amassing stuff that really does nothing for us Spiritually. Yes but only the 1st point is mainly the non judgementally subjective plain clear antichrist factor amongst us. Ie disbelief/rejection of Jesus as the Christ anointed sent down saviour for all mankind by God who willingly stepped down from His position in the Majestic Godhead for our sakes.
