In 1991 I was sleeping in my car, I had $35 to my name, everything I had could fit into two bags. I started talking to God about my dreams... Fast forward, out of nowhere I get a call from the Apollo asking me to come on the show. That same night I met D.L. Hughley, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, and Jamie Foxx for the first time. We were all comedians that went on that night. This is my Apollo story and how I became the host. This was my turnback moment.
Everybody has a turn back moment, it's the moment you can either go forward or give everything up. There's one guarantee if you give up it will never happen. Faith is everything, God is always on time, he's never too late.

Every time I listen to Steve Harvey, I become emotional. Steve inspires me so much to keep believing. Coming from a poor family in Cameroon, I did not that I would be here in America today. I have also the similar story. I have 3 young kids at that time and their dad just passed away with cancer. I have nothing left. I and my kids are living in a rented small apartment. I was just started reading a Bible. And God told me to find this Church that my friend introduced me. Sometimes, hardship makes you closer to God. I never forget, since the day, God open my eyes thru this Church! Many doors was unlocked for me. God gave me everything what I have prayed & dreamed for. I am no perfect but I continue to live my faith with Him.🙏🏼

Here's what cracks me up about the whole Katt Williams saga about Steve. I remember watching Steve on the Apollo show in 91. The brother has been on his grind for 32 years. I went thru something similar. Ima Single mother of 2. Slept in my car and in local cheap hotels when I could afford it till I could save up some money and get my own place… I struggled but I did it bc I was determined to get want I knew I deserved. I isolated myself from everyone, family and all those “friends” I had that were wasting my time and at the end no one was there when I had nothing but life gave me what I deserved. Now I live in a beautiful apt in a 25th floor in Florida with a beautiful wide river view I see from my bed every morning when I wake up. I’m blessed. God has a plan for all of us. Life’s not easy but it’s not impossible. If you really want to be better and do better you can do it. You just gotta be determined and focused on what you want for yourself, on how you want to see yourself and you’ll do it. It’s a matter of time. Trust in the lord, do your part and you’ll be rewarded ❤ I’m proof of it… God’s awesome!!!
