What a great movie and an absolute treat for me, the Robert Duvall enthusiast. Other Duvallheads owe it to themselves to watch it if they havent. This movie has so much personality and accurately depicts Southern Church culture in all its many facets. Go watch it!

One of the best movies I have ever seen in my entire life. Walter Goggin's is in this, and I had never seen him before this movie, but I knew whoever this actor was - he was going to be a star because he gave every single thing he had to that role. Everything was perfect, the preachers in the tent, the devil with the key, the Spanish woman singing "No Turn Around" - every single thing...and Momma faking her death every week! Robert is a genius. An absolute genius.

Before he went to jail at the end of the movie, the apostle rises devil's horn in the church while holding the microphone. I never knew why he did that.
