EXACTLY! Apple has recognised AI as a cool set of auxiliary features, not the main course. Knowing that, they won't hang the whole device on one feature, like Google or Microsoft, promoting their new devices with emphasis only on one word. Apple intelligence not being available on launch is a feature, not a bug. AI is a fad, and Apple tries to navigate that, by using it where it fits best.

01:13 - yeah that’s the point though. Having all those features roll up on day 1 is how you ended up with the buggy mess that was iOS 7 and iOS 12. I would much honestly prefer at least 40-50% of features of the initial announcement at the .0 update then a rollout of all the other features throughout the year respectively. The human race really is that impatient?

Steve Jobs would turn in his grave, or rather spin in his grave, if he could see what the developers and designers are doing with iOS. No more focus, instead unnecessary and ugly customization options at every corner.

I think apple is getting slower and slower in development. They also seem to have put capacity on the vision pro. And even though they claimed to be at the forefront with ai, we've clearly seen that they're not. They put it together in a few months. This also shows that the deals with chatGPT etc. weren't even finalized until shortly before the end. This is not a development over years. Apple needs to speed up again. There is no more innovation anyway. But evolution must not lag years behind.

@@mattgonzalez I watched and agreed with Chris. Apple having more products does not say anything about their focus. They just opted out of making a car, and delayed AI to make it better. Your point hangs on iPad, which you don't try to use as intended, which is fine, but opinion on a product is not a valid opinion on the whole company... people are still mainly satisfied - satisfaction levels did not change, features are announced at WWDC, tested and released when ready, as they have been for decades.

@@LouisLuzuka because that's actually reasonable...the carrier just wants to get rid of the old stock because of the looming launch of new products that will de-value the previous line. Obviously you should wait those couple of weeks if you don't have a broken phone since then the deals for previous phones will actually get better or you will be able to see if iPhone 16 is worth it. And how can matt even judge the deal without knowing how much you will pay... He's completely out of line, making no sense.
