You just stream it from your phone. Go into the KZbin app on your phone, at the top of the screen you will see airplay link. Pick your airplay and pick what u want to watch.

I'm annoyed that Apple TV 3 stopped supporting KZbin. My 3rd generation Apple TV runs just fine and I have no plans to buy a new model but the KZbin app no longer works. I'm so sick of perfectly good technology being made obsolete just so companies can sell me new stuff and make more money.

I just got a free 3rd gen from a friend who never used it and after installing/updating, it’s lacking big time compared to the 4k 2nd gen I bought when it came out a few months ago. It’s really a great all-in-one device with a much better remote. Definitely worth the buy if you’re into practical convenience, but otherwise AirPlay is always an option! I put the 3rd gen in my bedroom so AirPlay will be good enough since it’s rarely gonna be used.

Does anyone else know how to get passed the problem of not being able to stream netflix from your phone specifically on apple tv 3 since the update? The app still works but it won't allow you to just stream it from your phone as opposed to ooening the app on apple tv. Has anyone had any success with workarounds for using bluetooth headphones while streaming this via airplay? (even with a transmitter) havent used it before so im not sure if it has audio controls to come from comp & wondering what happens to a bluetooth transmitter. sucks the features change so drastically to the 4 i prefer the simplicity of not having siri and the appstore. theyre just doing the same thing car models started doing around 2014-2016

As a person with a bedroom viewsonic M2e mini projector with a 3rd Gen Apple tv laying around, it was nice to see what functionality if any I could get out of it and airplay from my MacBook pro is perfectly what I was hoping for. Sadly no bluetooth means no home kit functionality. The native Crunchyroll, Netflix, Hulu, and Apple TV+ apps are the ones I use most. No new Apps means sadly no Disney PLUS... but for that I watch Apple4k w/4K tv & sound bar. One other feature that is great with the apple tv is that it does use the OG HomePod to fantastic effect for a solid sound bar type feel. Thanks again for the info.

My problem is some shows will play well ! But sometimes it buffers around but I think it’s where I live! I do own one, won it at Christmas time in 2015 . Just opened it to night soo what 7 yrs ago.. . Have no use for it other than AirPlay, Should have left it in its box. It dose not have near the apps as your dose, I tried to update it it won't, not sure y.. Not yet I'll have to play with it more latter on.. . Only thing it's good for like u said is air play and certain movies that are not or Netflix.. At least not yet.. the dam thing is brand new, I shoulda sold it when I was thinking about. The Apple TV 3 has an A5 chip in it not an A8. The A8 came out in 2014, the Apple TV 3 came out in 2012. The Apple TV 4/HD however dose have an A8 Chip and is still plenty fast to this day and is still supported. The A5 was 32 Bit and the A8 is 64 Bit. So that may be why it’s a tad bit slower.

I usually tend to skip iPhone generations if I feel there’s not enough incentive to upgrade from whatever phone I happened to be using. And yeah I have a fair few apply products myself. iPad, Apple Watch, Apple TV etc. But that’s about where my relationship with Apple ends on the hardware front. I’m a pc guy at heart and the only reason I keep a few older macs around is because I can run Linux on them. Newer macs are just too expensive and too limited for me

The Apple TV 3 has the A5 Chipset (in 2 versions how fare i know, bit can be that i messed uvp some things with the Apple TV 2) and not the A8, the A8 is the heart of the Apple TV 4 or how it called today the HD, what was the titel of the 3rd gen before the 4K model came to the market (and yeah i know, its kind of confusing) and ends the lifecycle of the 3rd gen… But the Apple TV was a strange story from the beginning cause Apple seems a long time to be unsure what they should do with the Apple TV categorie, if just one device for all or two devices like an own TV and a just Streaming device… At some Point they decided that they would run it just as one product only categorie, a setup box (not 2 devices like) and the first child of this decission was the Apple TV 4/HD…

And i have still the opinion that Apple had should gave the 3rd gen an AppStore how they had done it with the first iphone or the AirPort express (AirPlay 2), at least for 1 last year… If they had done this this Streaming Box would be still a very good device for all which still have just a Full HD TV like me… Of cause it would be some kind of slow but it cant be more worse as it is on most of the „smart“ TVs out there… So its ok that it dont get so much more updates, this last one would be enough to keep it as a very usefull device still in end 2021 but for the worst of all of us they didnt done it…

It's impossible to without a jailbreak, KZbin was stopped being supported years ago. You'd only end up with a contact support or some screen locking you from the app, you need to use airplay or your MacBook to stream KZbin
