Andy warned my daughter who was watching him a couple weeks ago about a tornado in Grand Blanc, MI before a warning was issued by the National Weather Service. It touched down just a mile and a half from her. Listen when these guys say beware, it’s your best bet at safety. I always rely on them when weather gets bad. These guys are on top of it!

My sister recently moved to Grand Blanc. The tornado hit 1/2 mile from her house. My mom was listening to hall y’all and warned her from PA. The Y’all squad process works well! Great job guys!

Thanks to this stream I was able to warn my sister who was in St. Louis when the first tornado warning hit. Her and my three year old niece managed to find a place to stop for the night instead of driving home.

You know when I got with my wife years ago her grandpa told me a few times back when he lived in Xenia he helped with rescue efforts after a tornado decimated that town and how the morgue was completely overwhelmed and it wasn't until years later I found out how significant it really was.

I survived the April 3, 1974 tornado in Xenia too and I can say I'm nervous right now to say the least. My TV has lost signal right now on all channels and the weather isn't bad yet. Never had that happen before.

I’m a little north of Mansfield and had a tornado touch down from the last storm about a mile from my house. It was an ef2 that destroyed some houses and barns in its path. I hope today isn’t as bad as that

I very recently had loved ones that lost everything due to this terrible storm, and I want you guys to take into consideration that anything can happen, no matter what. Always always love your family and care for them because something might happen very unexpectedly. This terrible storm took away everything they owned up in West Point.

Thank you for everything Ryan! I'm in St. Louis and things got pretty exciting earlier. Can you please do something about the live chat??? Sooooo many people are asking such mindless questions (to put it nicely) and wanting you to give them a forecast for their town. Heck, some want a forecast for a whole state! People, Ryan and his team are BUSY tracking storms and the alerts! They don't have time to drop everything and get you a forecast for Podunk Alabama especially when it's hundreds of miles from the closest storm! Can you please encourage people to limit the chat to reports only?

Agree. I'm south of Jefferson City and that first tornado warning that Andy called started pretty much right over our house when he called it, so it's been a long tiring one. It drives me crazy that people are asking a lot when they can check their own radar and only ask if something looks actively concerning. All the chat people asking about places that don't even look like they are getting rain when the people ask seems inconsiderate.

@@DirtyTurban Then those people can pull up the weather app and look themselves. Most of the time, the people asking for their town's forecast are from areas hundreds of miles away from the affected areas on stream. And more than likely, it's usually a 0% chance of rain for the day.

I will have my 3, 2, & 8 month old tomorrow just NE of Columbus & also babysitting a 10 month old & 2 year old. We have a walkout basement which makes me a bit nervous but we have a table down there & playpen. Also a small crib mattress. Any other tips from anyone? Thankfully tornados usually go around/South of us &/or go away before we are hit.

Keep a snack and a toy bag with you and keep an eye on this channel. Be ready to go downstairs at a moments notice. Have a bucket for a potty if there is no bathroom down there. You can put kitty litter in the bottom of it, as long as you can keep the toddlers away from it! Lol
