*|| Video Notes ||* *Recap from **0:00** to **10:14* *Tawheed al-Uloohiyyah (Tawheed al-Ibaadah)* - Believing in Taweed ar-Ruboobiyyah and Tawheed al Asmaa was-Sifaat alone does not enter a person into Islam - we also need Tahweed al-Uloohiyyah. - So many people believe in the first two categories of tawheed but they commit shirk with Allaah. They do not fulfil this third category of tawheed. - Tawheed al-Uloohiyyah is the fruit of tawheed. - The first two categories are about us knowing Allaah, but this category is about our actions. It is about singling Allaah out with our actions. - Tawheed al-Uloohiyyah means to single out Allaah with all acts of worship both inward and outward, in statement and in action, and not associating any partners with Allaah in this. - This is the reason why we were created. Allaah says (translation of the meaning): And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me. [51:56] - Allaah says (translation of the meaning): (Worship Allah and associate nothing with Him, .......) [4:36] - Number 1: It is the right of Allaah upon us, that we worship Him and don't worship anything besides Him. - Allaah says (translation of the meaning): It is You we worship and You we ask for help. [1:5] - Ibaadah (worship) refers to any action that Allaah loves and is pleased with. Ibaadah is not just sajdah as many people think. It's not just that you don't prostrate to graves, kings, rulers and so on, it's much more than that. Ibaadah can be from the actions of the heart, the statements of the tongue, the actions of the limbs. - First reason to learn about it: It's the right of Allah over His slaves. - Second reason to learn about it: It is the call of all of the prophets and messengers - they came with the call of tawheed. Allaah says (translation of the meaning): (And We certainly sent into every nation a messenger, [saying], "Worship Allah and avoid Taghut." ......) [16:36]. - Third reason to learn about it: It is a condition for the acceptance of the actions. Allaah says (translation of the meaning): And it was already revealed to you and to those before you that if you should associate [anything] with Allah, your work would surely become worthless, and you would surely be among the losers." [39:65]. So a person who seems very pious, goes on Hajj, does itikaf, gives charity, builds masaajid, helps orphans - if that man dies making dua to the graves, slaughtering to other than Allaah and so on, all his actions will be rendered null and void. - Allaah says (translation of the meaning): Indeed, Allah does not forgive association with Him, but He forgives what is less than that for whom He wills. And he who associates others with Allah has certainly gone far astray. [4:116]. A man who steals but is a man of tawheed - Allaah will forgive him if he wills, likewise someone who deals with riba, lies and so on. But someone who does all the good deeds but dies upon shirk, jannah is haraam for them and his resting place will be the hellfire. - Point number 5/6: The intercession of the Prophet (salla Allaahu 'alayhi wa salaam) is for the people of tawheed. Because of this intercession some people who were going to be punished will not be punished. Some people having entered the hellfire will be taken out of the hellfire because of the intercession. Some people will be raised in their ranks in jannah because of this intercession. So many virtues of this intercession, but it's only for the people of tawheed, not for the people of shirk. - Some of the acts of worship: Your ultimate trust and ultimate reliance is an act of worship, you trust and rely on Allaah the way you don't trust and rely on anyone else. Allaah says (translation of the meaning): (..... And upon Allah rely, if you should be believers.") [5:23]. Of course we trust and rely on doctors but this is not an ultimate level of trust and reliance, we know that these doctors and the medicine they give cannot benefit us or harm us except with the permission of Allaah. So our ultimate trust and reliance is on Allaah. So tawakkul is from the actions of the heart, it's an act of worship. - Another act of worship is our love. It is for the sake of Allaah. Our ultimate love is for Allaah. Allaah says (translation of the meaning): (And [yet], among the people are those who take other than Allah as equals [to Him]. They love them as they [should] love Allah . But those who believe are stronger in love for Allah . And if only they who have wronged would consider [that] when they see the punishment, [they will be certain] that all power belongs to Allah and that Allah is severe in punishment.) [2:165]. Don't place the love of your wife, or your children, or your parents, or your wealth, or honour, or respect, or honour, or property, over the love of Allaah. - Another act of worship is fear. We fear Allaah the way we don't fear anything else. Our ultimate fear is of Allaah.
