Excellent stuff. You may single-handedly have boosted Norway's tourist industry, TMF. Hi again. Just watching your Norway tour -again👌-and noticed your comment about base layers. This year I’ve done a short tour of the Cairngorms and a week long solo tour of Ireland. This took in parts of the Wild Atlantic Way and the Causeway Costal Route, both highly recommended. Scotland was cool weather, Ireland was during the heatwave (30 degrees plus). I wore a Weird Fish bamboo base layer under my Alpinestars Andes jacket, which was pretty much all I needed on both trips. Maybe worth a look. Keep up the good work.

I'm developing a whole new level of appreciation for the big GS by watching this trip unfold. I've never really understood their appeal before but seeing how many hours you can ride and the amount of integrated tech they have it's all starting to make more sense. I'd never attempt a trip like this on my current bike (900 Hornet, I need to update my profile pic), I can barely ride for 10 hours in a day and then I need another day to recover.

When I produced videos, I left the Contour/GoPro recording all day long. In the last couple of years or so, I had a powerbank in my bike jacket supplying power for the GoPro. This meant that I had 8 hours recording on the card but I had no need to worry about the battery. Of course this meant I had lots and lots of footage to go through at home. Worth it though. I feel your pain re the drone however, I'm sure you're more than happy with the results of the scenery and riding captured.

Weather pro app has excellent forecasts in europe. Ålesund is a beautiful Art Nouveau city. Nice harbour fish restaurant. You maybe saw one tenth or less of Norway; you have to go back and we would appreciate that very much. More touring vids to watch. In Norway I usually took salmon for breakfast; very posh. Four slices of bread with filling is one sandwich, not the usually two slices. We did hundreds of miles ofroad and the landscapes you see; amazing. I would love to live in a Norwegian house, they look very cozy. I recognize a lot. I've got special summer gear where the wind can blow through from Revvit. It also has a thermal and waterproof layer when needed. Underneat a thermal layer.

TMF, are you sure this isn't a dream you're somehow transmitting? The place looks idyllic, stunning scenery, stunning roads, even more stunning weather and not a midge to be seen. But even more amazing, where's all the traffic, even Scotland would be pretty busy in high summer. I think in that half hour I saw half a dozen cars and they were mostly going the opposite way, maybe just a couple of overtakes required and as for white vans, I'm guessing they've simply been banned from Norway. Getting back to congested Britain must have been really hard after that. Another great series 👍

Fascinating to watch this as a sub that's also norwegian, you never quite know what you got until someone else tells you. Some history for those who enjoy that sort of thing: Namsos was established in 1845, so by european standards its a rather new town. But it looks much newer because the Germans bombed it to the ground during WW2. There was also something called the Namsos Campaign that one of my favourite british generals was a part of. Sir Adrian Carton de Wiart, veteran of the first war and just an amazing person. So if one finds a little extra time, I recommend reading about the Namsos Campaign, one of the many forgotten fronts of WW2. But if one has any interest in wartime history I can not recommend getting to know Sir Adrian Carton de Wiart better, just an amazing man.

Mr TMF, Your videos of my beloved country brings back memories from my days stucked in a lorry. I find your comments and witts quite entertaining. I found your channel when searching for reviews on the R1200GS, which is my bike I want to buy when I find the money for it... I´ve enjoyed every episode (I´m up the the 9th now) and I don´t want it to stop, you should have BMW and others to sponsor you to do these splendid vids. Btw, have you heard of the band A1(out of London)? They were quite successful in the millenium time, a member of this group, Christian Ingebrigtsen, a norwegian guy, is son of Stein whom you spend the night with in Namsos. Another "cool" rockfact and probably in an another room at the hotel, is our King of Rock, Åge Aleksandersen a native of Namsos, had a song containing a line with the Royal Albert Hall. The song was from 1975. In 2016 he performed for an absolutely packed Royal Albert Hall. Please don´t stop what you´re doing, your channel is my first choice. Since it´s a 1200GS I´m looking for maybe you can fill me in on any pros and cons between the gs and gsa? Do I go for a brand new one or maybe a used, maybe 2015 or newer?. Cheers, keep up the good work. Sincerly Anders (Oslo, Norway)((Big fan))
