el nino's a freaking genius, he incorporates all kinds of stuff in his power combo; levels, directions, even different kinds of rythm (IN HIS FREAKING POWERMOVES) AND look at his footwork dude, hes changing directions and dimensions without breaking the flow. that is sick and hard to do. THATS JUST IMO from a newb, i just started breakin. hope you understand what im saying, if you don't, better go to workshops homie. there is much more to it than just originality, cleanliness, flava blablabla

There are many things in this show that take away from the art like : the fact that they're given a time limit to dance is just wrong, and the fact that they separate the fundamentals in each round is just untraditional, it’s almost limiting cuz some people may feel like doing other styles, instead having to only do one, in a round.

The exemple to follow about hip-hop soul : Lord of the floor 2001. Just for the story, el nino was already here during"lord of the floor" !!!! And he was so young! But already a champion. Arena bring great bboys for sure, light and camera are good ( but too dark, and too much effect make the dance harder to see). Their main failure is to NOT SINCHRONISE the sound well during video editing. Like bcone. It,s a shame. It looks like dancer are out of the beat. Respect dancers : keep original music.

In terms of your qualitative argument, I agree, bboy jams are cooler. You get better music because nobody's going to sue you. You get cyphers and more styles. There usually aren't club lights so you can see what the hell you're doing on the floor. The crowd is cooler. Nevertheless, while not perfect, this is exposure, and it won't stop us from hosting our events. As long as we don't let the true shit die, I think shows like this can draw people slowly to our hip-hop and pay a few dancers.

This show only fosters all things bboys dislike, like eboys, and cats frontin like they know “breakdancing” , because they haven’t fully been immersed in the culture to be able to recognize that this art is a form of expression. This is the impatimy of commercalizing breakin. You have the Arena, which is pretty much a good example of the exploitation of the hiphop culture.

ok i kinda like how they're trying to make bboying mainstream but i feel like it was better when it was underground. Then you knew that the people doing it really loved it. Now we're just gonna have a bunch of posers trying to do this, thinking this is what real bboying. Real bboys don't have challenge rounds and coin tosses.
