@@loriw2661 I'm 58 with some fairly significant health issues and think the same way you do! It's tough at times but I need to be responsible. I AM thinking about Snake Discovery's Adoption Island though. If they got in an older dragon I would definitely think about it. Not a black throat! Those can get so big! I've had a lovely bearded dragon that I inherited from a nephew and I had her for 4 years and I loved her so much. So maybe. Kenan is great! And pretty exciting too. If you're going to live vicariously through anyone you certainly picked someone interesting and busy! Stay well!

Oh dear Cannon it's actually quite disappointing I've been watching your videos for quite a while and I've seen several of your lizards go from good to worse stop putting the fear in your animals man hold them like you care for them pick them up like you were taught don't just sit there cuz if you sit there and he huffs and puffs at you he thinks he's keeping you at Bay if you do not go into your cages with food willing to get bit every time you should really get rid of your lizards man and stick to tortoises

Those Argus monitors make an interesting hissing noise. Darth Maul has his (her?) facial marking, the Argus monitors are the "Vaders" of the camp! That Argus male at least is the spiritual replacement for Bobby Rubino, the chicken king. RIP, Bobby...

All your smaller monitors are sassy! At least its a lot of bluff rather than bites (not sure id wanna test that too much with Inky dragon tho!). Bluffing is fine, they'll learn they are safe and dont need the attitude the more you get to work with them 😄 You can't blame any animal for hissing, growling, standing their ground if they feel threatened, its their instinct. I always love the way the iguanas do their lil head bob, its so cute!

Wow Inky has come a long way, when you first got her all she wanted to do was run away from you and hide, and now she literally comes up to you for food. It's hilarious that Inky and the baby black throats come up to you on their own, but still act aggressive, hiss and tail whip you lol.

Where are those Argus monitors from? Definitely not from Kevin. I could be totally wrong but Kevin's monitors are usually puppy dogs. The only thing the team at nerd doesn't do is bunk with their animals. 😂🤣😅 On a serious note your last interaction with them before you leave the enclosure should be positive. Even if it's just a small bite sized nibble. To get them calm before you leave. I learned that by watching nerd. They are habit forming and if they are huffing, puffing and tail whipping you when you go in and leaving the behavior probably won't change. You can't leave until its on a positive note and it's got to be every day. Again. I'm not an expert or even have my own monitors. I have giant purple spiders. I love my little fuzz balls. Their beautiful! That being said everything I know about monitors I've learned from Kevin and I wish I had the time and space to do it right. I'm confident I could but I simply can't. In order for me to get involved with monitors they would have to pay for themselves. I simply don't have the capital to get started and if I did I'd become a restaurant owner before a monitor breeder. I might breed my spiders. Slings can be sold for $20 to $200. Each egg sack can produce anywhere from 180 to 2000 slings depending on the species. Do the math. It's big money. Ofcourse the more people that do it the better the prices will have to be. I dont think it's a bad thing because I never intended or desired to become a breeder. You take care of 20,000 slings, package them up and ship them out. My entire house would be packed with feeders and deli cups filled with spiders. 😂🤣😅 It's like a 100 hour a week commitment while sacrificing my living space and quality of life. Sometimes it's simply not worth it. 😕 I don't mean to unpack here. I get jealous of situations other people are in and then get mad at myself for knowing I would let the animals down if I tried to step into the ring. I'm not ambitious enough and I really need to work on my own inertia before I involve other living things. Thanks, Kampers, for letting my vent. Speaking of inertia I need to take my practice tests and study.

I've been watching all of your videos from 2019 onward (caught up with the rest in-between) . Your content got me through 2.5 years stationed at the DMZ in Korea during Covid (not able to appreciate SE Asia to the fullest) as I'd planned and budgeted for a trip to see Slinky's relatives in the wild . Love what you're doing! Have you thought about about doing another collab with Tanner Serpa? I started watching you guys around the same time and always thought that would awesome to see you two work together. I was stoked when you both gave hints on your channels. I thought it would be cool if you and Tanner worked together again to revamp Bobby Rabino's old enclosure together to house your new BTMs. Just an idea from an admiring fan! Keep on Kenanaing on! I've been around a few Argus monitors and they became very interactive and friendly but did not appreciate people grabbing them. Any "handling" was them deciding to climb on you.

Cheaper to buy it by the truck load instead of bagged! Harder work though as you have to shovel it out of your truck. Still cheaper and less work to have it delivered by the dump truck load, they could dump it right over that barrier.
