There are plenty of messy situations in baseball right now, but few are as smoldering and as calamitous as the Arizona Diamondbacks have gone through over the past few months. It may be starting to get a little better, but since early May, the team has gone 5-40. They've set records for ineptitude. They were on a loss pace that would've come close to the 1962 New York Mets. Everything has fallen apart and they are staring in the face of a long and arduous rebuild.
But we all know it didn't just start with the collapse. This sort of thing is always usually years in the making. In this video, we hope to find the sources of this collapse... and probably fail at it. Just like the lack of vision the Diamondbacks have had over the past few years.

@@Ren602 Haha me too, 2nd best record in the NL and 5th overall. Pretty damn good considering the Dodgers and Yankees have super teams, and a bunch of teams have double our salary cap. We've got a very balanced and deep roster. So glad we're ahead of the Dodgers. But still, we're a long way from a world series title. Gotta see how we do for the rest of the year and in the playoffs, which we hopefully make. If we keep up the pace, I could see us making the final 4, but beating a team like the Braves will be tough, and the AL is stacked. Idk if it's our year, but if we come up short, as long as we keep most of our players, they replicate their production and even improve next year, and we get a starting pitcher and hitter to bolster our roster, we could be a serious contender next year and the year after if we don't win it all this year. But we are pretty damn good this year.

What I love about this guy is that he can take total train wrecks and abysmal failures in pro sports, and present them in a way that's funny as hell. As for this video specifically, the DBacks aren't even in my division, but I still know what it's like to watch a team's implosion. I am an A's fan, after all. The surprising thing was this Diamondbacks team had a winning record at the end of April. They followed that up with back to back single win months going 5-24 in May and currently 3-21 in June. The only teams in recent memory to have back to back months even close to this 2018 Orioles and 2019 Tigers. Even then those two teams never had back to back months this bad. The only team in recent history to have a month as bad as this Diamondbacks team is from the 2012 Astros. This Diamondbacks team has plenty of good players on it too so why they can’t win is baffling.

TBF.... I never thought my name would ever get the chance to shine. This team for years has neglected the farm system. If a player has a good season or 2 in the minors he's called up and if he is only sub par or meh "Welp we tried. Good luck on an eastern team buddy." Unfortunately Gonzo or The Big Unit ain't walking in those doors to revive this franchise. …. You cannot be serious, can you? The red Wings won 4 cups in 11 years, went to the playoffs for 20+ straight seasons, and had multiple HoFers play for them over those years. There is a very good reason the Wings are as bad as they are right now. And they will be right back at the top of the pack around 2025-2027.
