I'm a big Roy Rogers fan I've watched a lot of Roy's movies and I have to say this one is probably the best acting by Roy in any of his other movies. A great story set in 1861 so no cars and horses. I think this is one of Roy's best.

Stuart Hamblen who plays the bad guy Val McBride was a singing cowboy himself and wrote and recorded the gospelsong "It is No Secret", wich was also recorded by Elvis Presley.

Probably one of the darker Rogers films I've seen . Well written and acted. I will add that the title for this movie is misleading , doesn't really have much to to with the theme of the movie at all.
