Synopsis: Created by Dean Devlin, “The Ark” takes place 100 years in the future when planetary colonization missions have begun as a necessity to help secure the survival of the human race. The first of these missions on a spacecraft known as Ark One encounters a catastrophic event causing massive destruction and loss of life. With more than a year left to go before reaching their target planet, a lack of life-sustaining supplies and loss of leadership, the remaining crew must become the best versions of themselves to stay on course and survive.

There's so much wrong with this, it's hard to know where to start. A helmet and you are OK in the vacuum of space? Really?

I don´t know how long they have been in hibernation, but they all was reanimated within 15 seconds and ready to run after years without moving a muscle. The Sci in Sci-Fi stands for science if I remember correctly lol, and why didn´t the ship have a rotating crew? The ship was obviously accelerating continuously so the crew didn´t even had to be in the centrifuge.

Regarding moving immediately after hibernation, it was shown in the 1st episode that their suits once activated helps the wearer to move like a power suit. There is an instance in that episode were one character during his post hibernation check up mistakenly turned off his suit before reaching the bed and eventually made him fall to the ground because he was told he lost most of his muscle mass after hibernation.

Why did syfy channel EVER greenlight this?! We all agree it is not an original idea at all and in these short minutes it does not seem as if it will get ratings and critical acclaim to give it a second season. Why are they throwing money and resources away when they have Shows in their history that are in Syndication still?

what is this ? ep1 is soooo bad. couldn't even laugh red "impact warning" on a screen, who will notice? everybody is sleeping, the ai indulging herself ? (ai's are always female) they are going to proxima in 5 years, yet the stars are moving like at warp speed they are all specialist in whatever area, barely no water available, but missus important needs a shower they put maybe 2 inch of soil to the ground, why does one of the "specialists" need a shovel ? they lost gravity because that spinning section stopped, ok - but (end of this ep.) why is there gravity in the front section, which is not spinning! apropos no gravity, a bunch of people floating around crying like babies, they got no training ? - panic is very important in a life-threatening situation, esp. in space going out for some repair, mr. intelligent's first touch to the spaceship it to hold on to the sharp edge of the demolition hole, and of course such repairs are only possible to fix from outside - must be a 'high tech' ship security door-opening devices you can bypass by sticking a screwdriver into the circuit, 100 years in the future they use the same computer chips as we have now, with lots of cables just one thing was missing: "rerouting auxiliary power to the plants" at least no barely attached us-flag patches on their arms a first episode should be great to make hungry for more, this wont survive season 1, fast-forward the next 2-3 eps. reaching proxima, everybody happy - cancel show

My favorite part is how she had the code to open everyone's pods and wake them up and couldn't open the door. Even the guy who did open the door had to try twice. Why is there even a code on that door? Oh and then the guy who lost his girl cuz debris fell on her pod. Why didn't she wake up with the rest of them? She wasn't that far away from the guy trying to save her so her pod should've opened too. Smh not giving my time to this lol
