Hi Ryan a great looking finish to the tree, Hinoki are not the easiest species to create pads due to the way the foliage grows in whorls, when I have a situation where the branch has part snapped I use super glue and clamp it within a short time it will be fine, I have used it many times and its not failed me, it's still a good idea to support the branch as you have, I hate the tape you are using, it can be the devil to get it off and can do more damage to the repaired branch trying to remove it. A little bit of rubbish about super glue it was first use in the Vietnam war by the Americans to repair wounds in American soldiers so they could send them back into the field. Super glue saved thousands of lives by bleeding out, It was first invented around the late 30s but not used for wounds in the 2nd world war. Thanks for the video mate.
