Extras really is exceptional. I don't think it gets the recognition it deserves these days (it did at the time) just because it's overshadowed historically by Ricky and Stephen's preceding programme. The final episode of Extras is extraordinary.

I think an upside to corpsing is whenever someone loses it because of one of the minor details that remind you of the absurdity of what you're doing, you can then re-do the line and emphasize what made the other actor laugh to make the scene funnier. Of course you then have to get through it without laughing eventually.
@him05015 күн бұрын
I'll never forget the day when a colleague and I were invited to attend the engineering apprentice's project presentations. So we're in this (what I would deem) overly formal presentation in this meeting room for this lad's shield project presentation. He's going through talking about the project management tools he used, the concept selection methods, Gantt charts etc. Then when he described the final design solution and talked through it, someone asked how much it would weigh, to which the lad replied "500 kilos." Will the second it left his lips and long before he could correct himself I snorted. Then all I could hear behind me was my friend trying his absolute hardest to stifle a laugh, which in turn made me want to burst out laughing. I can say the next five minutes were the hardest five minutes of a meeting I'd ever endured. It wasn't that funny, but it was just how it was such a facade meeting being taking so seriously, as if he was from BAE or Rheinmetall or something, then he tells us his personal shield system design weighed 500kg. Like why did he say 500? He couldn't have meant grams or lbs. What did he mean to say? 😂
