So it is true, he was 36, but still, at that age his performance levels were very impressive. I play in all positions , I have started out as a defender, and now can play well at any position but not because of my experience as a defender, I had immense respect for a defender from before I started training, I never watched matches except the World Cup but new that defenders are the foundation to any team. Actually even keepers are more appreciated then defenders. The back line makes one mistake ,they blame you .forwards miss great chances yet they are like fine , try to get it in next time. But to all the defenders out there, you are the leaders on the pitch even if you aren’t given the armband.
