What I love about these serious discussions is the odd touch of humour which helps keeps the serious stuff also light.

Not sure if I missed it but did you mention the cost? I actually used to be a PR but for an agency and it's always interesting to hear costs for different levels etc and especially for individuals like you. As I worked for big brands

Hiya. Cost varies wildly, which is why it's hard to say. Also, it depends on what you are hiring PR to do. The promotion of 1 project will be less than a 6 month retainer, but if they cover 6 projects in that time, it would be less per project. They will also change their prices depending on who is hiring them. They would charge a corporation more than an individual. It also depends on how experienced they are. So, for example, I had the same job quoted by a freelancer for £300 and an agency quoted £1500. The best thing I would recommend other artists is to write a brief for what you want and go to various people for quotes and have meetings to see if you are a good match.
