In this video there were some technical problems with my sound recording, so apologies for those levels. I've already fired the sound guy for his poor work... :)

I briefly came across her work in an exhibit during Nuit Blanche in Toronto a couple years back. Her art really gets under your skin, in a good way

Every time a new video of yours comes out i'm always so happy. I like the way you talk about photography and photographers, i always want to go and raid a photo book shop and disappear into a cafe for a few hours so i can study them. I can't wait for covid to end so i can hunt down the artists you've mentioned in the past, and this one, and flip through. Thanks for the inspiring video

I heard about you from Grainydays. This is a wonderful video, as are the others of yours I've watched. Keep up the great work. This reminded me of walking through Times Square on my way to work and thinking about the messages she had put up on the marquees of the theatres. Thanks, Vince

Vincent Diggins that must’ve been extremely interesting. I personally find the street signs and benches and other work she did and displayed in the streets incredibly bold, exciting and inspiring. Thank you for watching.

You are really the best successor to "the art of photography". ted forbes is somehow only interested in introducing smartphones. but you are interested in art and that is why I like your channel a lot.

Agree with this one. He is just interested in new cameras and smartphones now. I think because it's the only thing that generates clicks and income. But for people who loves photography t.hopper is one of the best channels:)

Conceptual art seems to convey more feeling (for me) when I observe it. Side note, I can't believe tumbler is still around.

Such a cool connection, art of any kind is an inspirational stepping stone, able to not only stretch the process of how we interpret the many mediums that surround us on a daily bases, and how by if we let it - to affect our own manufactured creative outputs, be they film or photography, or painting. Cross-pollination in the arts, is the ability for each of us to adapt and to grow. I loved this video.

I've seen some of the pieces around Tumblr, too but didn't know the artist. Some of her texts really hit me and I'm glad that you shared this so now I know were to go for more great art to make me go into existential thinking mode! - About the video sound, it felt Lo-Fi but not in a bad way (at least not for me).

As a wobbly agnostic I don't usually do bible quotes but your video reminded me of one: "For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do." Romans 7:19. Now back to your regularly scheduled Pagan programming.

I first heard of Jenny Holzer back in the '80's in an Art Forum magazine article. It mentioned the Dennis Hopper movie 'Backtrack', in which he used Holzer's work and even her character, portrayed by Jodie Foster, to tell the story. Although the movie is sort of a crime thriller it does have somewhat of a study of motivation. I actually never did hear what Holzer thought of it, although Hopper himself was not entirely pleased. I found it interesting nevertheless.

I've seen at least one of her installations at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth. It's a little hypnotic and really awesome. My introduction to her was probably that Kurt Cobain/Nirvana photo in front of one of her marquees ... Great episode, even with the audio issues. And yeah ... I've had my share of those.

I got inspiration from inspirobot.me/ 😂. Yeah, I used to do the IG thing where you have photos off all the same sort of theme the one day I decided not to I post photos of what I enjoy what I find interesting. Who wants to be forced into a rut because some social media star says you have to do this. And you know what its gotten me more invites to events and other places to take photos.
