Man the cinematography of this is excellent! I love the jitter effect, you perfectly made use of that in my opinion. It's exactly at the point where a little more would ruin the shot. In my amateur-opinion, every aspect of this animation is great. For me, definitely the best animation of the year so far (Saxxies included).

Propane or gasoline tanks dont explode when shot and the most realistic part was that the suppresor didnt actually make the gun really quiet like most games make it do which is incorrect all in all i liked this sfm it was really well animated and i had a feelin whatever would be in the crate wasn't anythin much the sniper voice actor was almost spot on as well that gave me a good kick

KZbins algorithms are criminal.I know the saxxy version gets the most views, but the full cut deserves WAAAAAY more than 6,800.The style of this was to neat Mario.Haven't seen an SFM gun for something the way you do. I got a group of modelers, and map creators gunning for the saxxy extended category.Its about a revenge story of a scared pyro whos a no name detective.We're aiming for a 60's mob feel. This particular Sniper reminds me a lot of a friend of mine who moved away. In a Cipher campaign (A variation of a table top role playing game), said friend ran a hit man character whose specialty was ranged weapons. He literally used a sniper rifle and took a shot at a large freight boat that was hauling gasoline. Thing went up in flames taking out nearly the entire enemy invading force, as well as three mutated monstrosities, and the final boss of the campaign all with one well-placed bullet. Thanks for reminding me of one legend with another. You are amazing!

I've started the concept and writing the story, which took me a good week or two by Late January. Around February 4 was when I've started animating and producing the film and that took about one month. The remaining scenes you see here took a month as well. So in total, I'd say 3 months! :D As for the soundtrack, I can't give you a proper answer since I'm not so sure either. We'll see what comes up ahead though! ^_^

Potential sequel idea below the brief review (SPOLIERS FOR ANYONE WHO HAD NOT FINISHED WATCHING THIS): Seriously though, this is a really bloody good TF2 animated film, I like the cinematic vibe it has going for it, I like the voice acting (especially the guy who did Sniper's Voice, it's so good it's canon to me), I like the music and that sound design. The visuals are bloody gorgeous considering the age of SFM, the comedy was effective and actually pretty funny for once, and the Fight Scenes were well animated. Overall, why didn't the cut down version get Best Overall/Extended (well, I guess Leak! Was also pretty good). TAOJ is quickly becoming one of my favourite SFM animations of all time, because it's so good that it's Valve Quality. Now that Scout had apparently brought Sniper along for the mission as seen here, Sniper had been curious into what other operations that private military organisation that held the crate does. Because of this (and of how underwhelming the reward for Scout's Crate after snatching it) he takes Scout along with him back to that facility to discover of what could happen... This is what I'll dub: The Art of Winters. But I'll help you if you're looking to expand on it, because I am open to it, but admittedly my writing is mixed in terms of scriptwriting, but Storylines? I'll give it a shot.

All it takes is a little bit of looking and you'll see the gun *on his back*. The scope is visible, along with the suppressor being visible behind his head. For christ sake, people.
