Nagata's Goosebumps works are some of the most underrated in the series.

Wow, these paintings are awesome. Mark is responsible for my favorite Goosebumps cover art, The Twisted Tale of Tiki Island. That one rocks, just like all the others!

These videos are so great! Especially interesting hearing the origin of Super7 magazine and knowing how important Super7 the toy company and stores became. I hope you can do features on Brian Flynn, Paul Kaiju, Joe Merrill, Rich Montanari Jr., Chris Lee aka The Beast Is Back, Bwana Spoons, etc. etc.!

Hey there! Not trying to shoehorn my video into the conversation, but I just put out my first episode about SOFUBI, and it features some of the artists you mentioned: kzbin.info/www/bejne/sGHdhnqvit2iq9E (P.S. James / Wonder Goblin was the key motivator for the video. Love that dude. He even loaned me some Max Toy Co and other figures to show... which got me hooked. LOL.)

I agree, I think despite AI and all .. the human touch in Art will always be needed ( or wanted) by the public. We just have to make sure people know how our process is traditional ( for the most part)

@@maxtoyco AI cannot replicate the innate human creativity, it can only replicate patterns that already exist. I love your work and I think what many people like about it is the craftsmanship factor 🙌

KZbin’s random video suggestion brought me here. Wow I remember Mark. Was in the toys scene when Kid Robot dominated the scene, and Mark didn’t launch his Max Toys yet. He definitely had a lot of influence to what we saw in the coming years and now. Haven’t seen my collection in many many years as it’s in boxes in storage, but I think just my art toys (no idea what people call them now) and sofubi storage boxes still takes up about 1/5 of a bedroom 😅 Great video and thanks! Hopefully this doesn’t lead me down a rabbit hole 😂😂😂

@@maxtoyco oh hey it’s Mark. Hi 👋 Been a long time since meeting you. Random memories popping in my head right now: an article you wrote about older sofubi and how the room smells like candle wax. I’m probably remembering it now because it’s such a strong sensory description and memory of collections. Although I am no longer into the toys scene, thank you Mark for everything you’ve done for the community and industry 👍
