I watch this guy play in the present day and think back to the past that he wasn’t a setter in his younger years. He was an awesome hitter. Not powerful but super intelligently placed balls. Deep corners. When ai saw the USA roster back when the local boys made it and saw christenson as the setter it surprised me but it didn’t, because a talent like him could play all positions. He has the perfect height and moreso, above volleyball IQ than most. Just amazing to watch.🙏🏼👍🏼🤙🏼💪🏼✊🏼

At 3:37 doesn’t a back row player spike from in the 10ft zone? I’m new to volleyball and don’t understand the rules completely but I thought back row players were only allowed to spike if they jump from behind the 10ft line.

It looks like 17,4,13 are front court players. You can see the setter (11) run to front court after the serve, so he is a back row player. Same with libero (22) and 8

I have to say, that this is NOT creativity. Christenson is one of the best setters in the world, im not arguing that, but he just plays good and makes mostly normal decisions. Most setters are creative like that, but they dont have the ability to set like that...
