Its one of those games where everything is going for your opponent, you did well to keep it within a bingo of opponent by the end in this, well played, not many people would have been within 150 points by the last couple of moves. Also the Twicers bingo had to be the play with 3 U tiles still in the bag, it was something you considered during the game and it had to be the best play given the situation.

If you were going to end up playing the single "W" (if your bingo was blocked), the spot for it would have been EW/WEX.

CUES would've given opponent the triple triple of PRECITED, so probably not best to play it (though no way of knowing that). unfortunate you missed BENJ. i had a feeling trading off the j and q would end up allowing opponent to score with them later.

Noob question - does the first placement of tiles always have to go in the same middle row?

The first placement of tiles has to go through the centre square yes, either vertically or horizontally.
